I've heard that chelated minerals, such as potassium and magnesium, are better absorbed by the body than the "regular" formulas. But I've also heard that they're a waste of money, that there is no benefit to them . . .

Anyone know the truth?

Paul--I think minerals have to be in the right form for proper absorption. Chealated minerals are readily absorbed so I think they are worth the money you spend on them!!!

minerals are least readily absorbed through carbonates like calcium carbonates which is tums and rolaids, they are a complete waste of money. Citrates like citrical are better absorbed but the greatest absorbed minerals are those that are bound to krebs cycle intermidiates. they combine all chelates for almost 100% absorbsion. enzymatic therepy sells them there kinda expensive but you dont have to take as much considering regular chelates have only 10% absorbtion
