I did a lot of research about Green, wheat or barley grass but many results are so opposite. Certains claim that those plants save their lives, others pretend that it is not better then veggies, some said that only few company`s can offer a really good and efficient products or it is simply an other $cam?! So, i would like know, from people who tried it, what is it good for? Did you feel a real diference? Green or Grass? Pills, powder or fresh juice? What are the safe company's? PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello,

Green superfood drinks are very popular on the market these days and there are many claims made about their effectiveness. The most popular green drinks not only combine cereal grasses like wheatgrass or barleygrass for example but they also have standardized herbal extracts which you don't need. If you want my advice, try to eat plenty of fresh fruits and veggies as much as possible and include green veggies like brocoli, spinach, salad etc. If you find that you have a hard time eating enough vegetables especially the green ones, then you can buy a wheatgrass or barleygrass supplement...I believe these are the most beneficial green foods. The one I use is from the company Pines International and they sell the best wheat and barley grasses...use the one with the fiber in it. I try to eat as many fruits and veggies as I can but there are some hectic days where I can't...in that case I put a couple of teaspoons of wheatgrass powder in a glass of apple juice...it's actually very nutritious, I do enjoy the taste and it's great for regularity. If you want to add a supplement to increase your energy, make you more resistant to physical and mental stress, then I would go with adaptogenic herbs like Rhodiola Rosea, Siberian Ginseng or American Ginseng.

Hope this helps ;-)
