I'm currently taking a standard multivitamin, vit C 500mg, and 1000 IU's of Vit E. I know these are effective anti oxidants but are their any others that have a direct positive effect on the skin? also, does skin benefit more with external vitamins(creams, etc) or will internal vitamins do the trick just as well?

Ingested VitE upper safety dosage is 400 to 600 IUs for adults. Because VitE accumulates in the body check whether you really need 1,000 IUs.
You can use vitamins systemically [by taking them into the body] and topically [on the skin]. But you can't make your own vitamin-enriched lotion by just breaking a capsule and mixing it into some lotion. Apparently, each type is made somewhat differently.
