I have found one thing that really helps the Brain. FISH OIL! Yup its the Omega 3 fatty acids actually. They help with memory, depression, ADD, alshimers, and they help your skin. I take two capsules per day. You should notice some improvement in 2-3 weeks. I have been on them a year now and still seeing improvements.

Hmm... Thanks.
What about flaxseeds? Just the seeds, not the oil.
Is fish oil better?

Here's the gingko biloba study conducted among healthy 60+ year olds:

Gingko biloba is still considered very effective in improving peripheral blood circulation. Because of this it may help conserve CNS health among certain population groups. Like most meds - it only helps if you need it.
Here's a quote from previous research conducted among Alzheimer's patients:
"An important breakthrough in herbal medicine took place in October 1997 when the Journal of the American Medical Association published the results of the first clinical trial conducted in the United States of the effect of Ginkgo biloba extract (GBE) on patients suffering from mild to severe dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease or multiple clots in the blood vessels. The generally positive results showing modest improvement in the cognitive performance and social functioning of the demented patients basically confirmed results previously obtained in European studies. Some 36 clinical trials with GBE had been conducted there between 1975 and 1996."
