Here's the deal....I'm fourteen years old and my hair is falling out. Not really when it's dry but when it's wet, a ton falls out. I'm not bald or anything. Not by any means. But I use to have normal to thick hair and now my hair is rather thin. I've lost a lot of weight and I think that the reason my hair falls out is because of that. What I want to know is...Is there a vitamin or something that can make my hair not fall out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to be checked by the doc as thyroid problems as well as vitamin deficiency can cause hair loss. See the doc to determine what is going on so you can get this taken care of.

Low protein diets or a protein-digestion problem may be other factors to look at. Vegetarians are at greater risk of not getting enough complete protein on a daily basis.
Some zinc-based dandruff shampoos can cause temporary hair loss; you can fix this by discontinuing use of that shampoo.

i saw your post on another board and im sure the hair loss is related to your anorexia. anorexia is a life threatening disease..i hope you will seek treatment.
