I have tried taking Xenedrine (w/o ephedra), CLA (Conjugated Lanolic Acid), X-Rated (metobolic enhancer with ephedra) over the last 3.5 months. I have only lost 2 lbs! That is crazy! I work out (weights and cardio 4 times a week, and eat fairly right(maybe too many carbs). However, these products claim to work wether you change your eating/working out routine. Especially the one with Ephedra. It never gives me the shakes or makes me feel more awake. I can actually fall asleep within hours of taking them. I am 5'1", 121 lbs. and I want to lose 10 lbs.! I think that is very reasonable.
What should I do? Does anyone have any advise or have a similar situation? Help!

Are you noticing any change in your shape? You know muscle is heavier than fat, so if you're gaining muscle and losing fat, you may not lose weight, but will improve your shape. An extreme example, boxer Mike Tyson is 5'11" and weighs 230lbs, yet he is in terrific shape. just very muscular.
I'm not a big advocate of using drugs and supplements to lose weight unless it is an extreme case of obesity. That is clearly not the case with you. If you're eating a healthy balanced diet and exercising 4 days a week, that is terrific. My advise is to keep doing what you're doing. For some people losing those final 10 lbs or so is nearly impossible, its just the way God made them. If there are specific areas you want to target, talk to the gym instructor on how to best target those areas, assuming you are working out at a gym. If you have access to a pool, swimming is a great excercise for burning fat and toning muscles. good luck!

Personally, I would stay away from any product with ephedra. It may not give you the shakes, but the long term side effects are dangerous.

Try Enforma products... they work differently, and safer. They increase your thyroid hormones to lose the weight... I lost 5 pounds in one week =) !

Of course age is a factor, but if you have a healthy liver and thyroid, consume moderate or better complete proteins, restrict your carbs or caleries, supplement w/ vitamins/minerals, herbs, etc, you should be able to loose weight, especially if you do regular cardio workout.
A couple nutrients that might help are Kelp and Tyrosine. I take a kelp supplement w/ every meal. I also take 500mg Tyrosine daily. Tyrosine is a safe alternative to ephedrine.

well do not go on and off either because when you are on it it speeds up your metabloism and when you go off for a day or too you slow the process down so you never really accomplish anything. you also are in the last 10 pound phase. Those are the hardest ones to lose. Go to the weight loss portion of this sight for additional advice too.
