I'm considering these for my kids. The mens and women's formulas contain no iodine and I know that's bad for teenage skin. I'm wondering how well they absorb, however. Does anyone know the test for absorbability? I remember that you soak them in something for 1/2 hour and see if they dissolve. this might seem like a strange question but many over the counter brands of vitamins pass through the system undigested.

Usually it is not the vitamin itself that passes through the system intact it is mearly the enteric coated shell that is passed whole. We see this a lot in people who need potassium supplements.

How does an enteric coating pass though and not the rest of it. What happens to the inside? I'm still looking for the "test" for vitamins. I know you can soak them in something to test absorbability. Also, just how much iodine in a supplement is bad for acne. Is 100 mcg too much or OK?
