Hello everyone! I just heard about B5 and I would like to try it but before I do, I would like to ask you wonderful people some questions. First of all, I did some research on it and I read in some sites about it being ok...with some small side effects. I heard that taking a multi vitamin tablet will stop the side effects. Then there are other sites that say that it can be bad. I read somewhere that if you take it to much, it can be poisonous to the body. I'm 15 (soon 16) and I am wondering if taking 1000mg tabs each day would be okay for me? I'm also thinking about taking Milk Thistle and would this bad, since I would be taking lots of tablets...B5, a Multi Vitamin and Milk Thistle? I'd really like to know, don't want to do something bad to my body...thanks everyone!

I don't see any reason to take as much as 1000mg of B5 by itself. Its been reported that high dose B5 can create a deficiency of Biotin, which is an essential nutrient. I would recommend taking a good high-potency multi-vitamin/mineral that has properly balanced levels of B vitamins.

As far as milk thistle is concerned, i dont see any harm in taking it. There's evidence that it would be a good preventative against liver disorders and cancer and may be one of the best immune enchancers in the plant world. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi ramsemonius! Thanks for answering back so quickly! As for B5, how much would you recommend taking? Do you know of where I can get some multi-vitamins that you suggested...I don't know very much about vitamins and supplements. Thanks so much!
