Does anyone ever get any adverse reactions to Vitamin C? I just wondered because it seems like whenever I take it, which isn't all the time, I get little caker sores and I have heard both ways that vitamin C can or can not do that. I know that most unwanted vitamins that are in your system, you get rid of it through urination, but, it just seems funny that everytime I take it, I turn into the canker queen! I take the 1000mg. times released.

I think you're taking too much at one time. The RDA is 60 mgms daily ---If you take 250 in a buffered form like Ester C with bioflavonoids should do OK.

Yea, I get a rash on my arms that spreads everywhere if I take too much (2-3000mg) per day for a few days. I've had it on 3 occasions so far and pinpointed the rashes to Vitamin C (my diet is well controlled).

With taking 1000mg of vitamin C you are definately overdosing it a bit and this could be part of the cause of your canker sores. You should probably look for a brand that isn't that potent so to speak.
