Does anybody know about a Protein Supplement in pill- or capsule form that I cold give to my 8 year old son? He does not like the protein bars or powder shakes. He does not get much protein since he is a very picky eater and does not like most meats, fish, or milk or any foods that contain protein.

keep in mind protein pills, or amino acid pills are rather large, and if they are 1000 mgs (1gr) of protein, you would need 6 to equal one egg or 8-10 to equal a glass of milk for example. not cost effective, or fun to swallow.

a protein shake however, can tatse ok and a scoop will yield 20-23 grams of protein (whey tatse the best in my opinion). this is very cost effective.

Thanks for your reply. I had no idea that it would take so many pills. Now I know that I can forget about this option.

I found two places that have products espically for children- Ones a shake, the other a bar. The first site I found was www.kidsportsbar.com (http://www.kidsportsbar.com) and the other was http://www.mothersherbs.com/shop_today/0192.htm

Hope I helped!

He don't like cheese? Grilled cheeses a lot of kids love. Or peanut butter? Or how about some peanuts? Chicken nuggets? Does he like scrambled eggs? All the above contain great protein.
