Hey ya'll. I was wondering if anyone has taken DMAE capsules, which is a memory enhancing substance. I used them to help me study before and they worked for me. However, I am wondering if they really work or if it was just psychological. Has anyone taken them or knows more about it? Thanks.

am wondering about DMAE myself. I hear it does wonders for the skin, then I hear it does wonders for you alertness and energy. Then I hear it has negative side effects if you are taking benzos or antidepressants. Just what does this supplement do and are there negative interactions between it and meds?
It's very confusing....

The studies haven't shown any benefits for DMAE. Just FYI. If it works for you then great. All the best,

Hello, well, I guess you just did not find the studies because they are there. Do not use DMAE internally if you have dystonia. DMAE increases acetylcholine, and dystonia has to do with acetylcholine and dopamine imbalances. Do not misunderstand. It will not cause dystonia but it could aggravate the condition in someone that has it. It is safe to take. Used for ADD in children, cognitive enhancement in adults, and in facial creams to firm the skin.

Hey Sal,
Please enlighten me to any info/references to studies that concluded health benefits for DMAE. This is your chance to prove me wrong big time! I love that. I love learning. Thanks,
