Zinc, echinacea, and garlic are all good for the immune system. Don't worry, you can't really get too much vitamin C.

You need to take a good antioxidant supplement to keep the immune system healthy. Also since you do get frequent boils you may want to consider some antibiotic therapy to try to get these under control. Be sure to wash your hands well anytime you touch an area where a boil is and be sure that no one else uses the same washcloth you do as this bacteria is easily spread.

The summer when I was 20 (40+ years ago), I had a series of nine painfu boils on the back of my upper thigh. They all eventually ran their course & disappeared as mysteriously as they first appeared without any treatment or lifestyle changes. I later had a single one about 20 years ago, but none since then. Dont have any advice as I did nothing for my boils excpt to soak in a very hot bathtub for long periods of time. I know when they're in existence, they can be very painful.

Antibiotic creams will not do the trick. You may need longterm antibiotic (pills) therapy to take care of this since this is caused by a bacteria you have in your body. If you haven't consulted a specialist I would consider doing so since chronic boils can often be helped with treatment.

No not with the antibiotics they will use for the boils and you may not have to take them that long. Doxycycline is the drug of choice for acne and boils quite often and will not affect your immune system as far as when you need antibiotics in the future since this class of drugs is not usually used to treat to many other infections.

For Boils soak in warm compresses several times per day.Be cautious of using drawing agents as it pushes the Infection deeper.
