So, the last few weeks I've been telling myself .. "I'd be more consistent with exercise if I could go outside and walk, but its just too cold". Finally dawned on me yesterday - its only cold if you don't dress for the weather. So I walked about three miles this morning. I had FOUR shirts on, but I walked and it was GREAT.

I'm hoping that if I get into walking every morning, eventually I will be able to get into running. I'm not sure what it is about running, but I want to be a runner. I just know there is a "wall" that I haven't been able to work through yet.

I had one of those moments just last night. About a week ago, I made a protein shake and put it in the refrigerator, thinking I'd drink it the next day after my workout. Well the next day I skipped my workout and didn't have the shake. I figured I'd work out the next day and have the shake then. Of course, the same thing happened the next day. Repeat this cycle a few more times. It wasn't until yesterday that I broke out my laziness phase and worked out. And I decided to have the shake afterwards. Big mistake. That shake was sitting in my refrigerator for almost a week and like an idiot, I didn't think about whether it was safe to drink. Well a few hours after I had it, I felt sick to my stomach. I was lightheaded, I felt like was going to vomit, and had to lie down. Luckily I didn't throw up, but I learned my lesson. I just hope it wears off in time for my workout tonight.

Ewww .....

Are you sure its even a good idea to make a protein shake just a day ahead?

Hope you feel better soon.

I started out walking but never got into running.

But I did go to the gym all by myself today and actually did the ski machine for one mile and the tread mill for another.

Then I did more spot training. I did that stupid ab machine and felt nothing. I dont there is anything better than crunches for your tummy.

Try a Pilates tape for your abs. Or a yoga for abs! WOW!!! =)

I've run before and I do, sometimes, enjoy it. But I know I need to practice and that is where the rub comes in for me.

Go you on the two miles! You'll be running a marathon before you know it ;-D

I have a couple of yoga dvds and videos. Everytime I do it my kitty always thinks I am on the floor playing w/ him. LOL

I will stick w/ the crunches for now. And as soon as we get a bigger place I will also have more room to do the yoga.

I guess it wasn't a good idea. From now on, I'll just drink it right after mixing it. Or maybe I'll buy the cans.
