I was out walking tonight and one of the mom's in the group was talking about how she is dieting.

One week she is on slimfast, second week, she uses green tea diet pills, 3rd week she is now starting zantrex,4th week she does low carb and something like the 3 day diet that's been posted on here, but sounded like nothing I have heard on here.

It just doesnt sound healthy to me, but I am new at this, she has lost like 80pds they say I just met her.

Just thought I would ask.
Thanks
Dee

Personally, I think that is pretty drastic and VERY hard on your body. I would pick just one and give it a try.

Hi,

As far as healthy, it's probably not healthy. But heck, carrying around that extra 80 lbs wasn't healthy either...

I think success is not measured by how much you lose or how you lose it. It's measured by if you can keep it off forever and still remain healthy.

One of my favorite dieting lines is--Weightloss is only part of the journey, you have to move there permanently.

Southern Mom - Please find out if your new friend that has lost the 80 pounds is taking the Metabo Ultra Max that we've been wondering about that Dipsy is taking . . Something that your new friend is doing is working since she's lost 80 pounds!!! Altering between programs would make me a little nervous, but hey, its working for her so tell her to GO GIRL! But, please find out if its this Metabo Ultra that she is alternating. Sure would like to hear that it is.
Thanks!

When you say you got a boost and that you wanted to eat a lot - did it make you want to munch and feel anxious like some of the diet pills do? By the way, how do you like Zantrex? I'm curious and am trying to put all of the information together on these pills, to hopefully pull the magic one out of the hat!! Guess we all are! My husband would be thrilled if I FINALLY got good results! I've dieted most of my life and I'm hitting the "50" mark and it seems to be gettng harder and harder to lose weight. I've lost off and on for many years, trying different pills and weight loss clubs, but I'm the worst I've ever been. Thanks for answering. Have a nice afternoon. I'll check back tomorrow. Whirl . .
PSI saw your other post about "Paging Dipsy" - it will be interesting to hear from her. Whirl

Andrea got it! LoL That is what she told me today. She has been doing this for years and she just has to make her body think its not a diet so to speak and she has found she can lose the weight doing it this way..

As for me the Metabo gave me a boost for about 2 hours and I came down hard like I could of went to sleep.
That is what I dont like with pills. It took my body about 10 days to get use to the Zantrex start off 1 at a time first few days, took 2 when I tried 6 didnt work for me.So some days I do 4 some days I do 5.Depends on how I feel that day.2 morning 2 lunch 1 at dinner.I can deal with that.I go by how I feel.

As other things I do is watch my calories, portions I eat more veggies and fruits.I now drink water like a fish.I get out of the house! If only to do some yard work, walk.If I dont feel like walking I can go to walmart and walk around for 2 hours .I do taebo,if I dont do nothing I do atleast 20 mins of it.NO can drinks.I miss my code red.Cut back on or out white bread, sugar, pasta. It works for me or it has so far.
Good Luck
Dee

I started taking Metabolife when I first started this weight thing - I found it put me on edge - as if my peri-menopausal self wasn't enough coupled with my regular edgy self - lol.

I took them for only one week, but I did find it helped curb the appetite and made me thirstier. I wonder if the trick is to take them only as I begin to lag again, as I seem to have been doing.

It is good to have varied menus in your life. Keep your body guessing, but to yo-yo all the time isn't good either. It takes your body a while to adjust and to constantly shift diets and such isn't a good method.
