This is the memorial day weight loss challenge from 4-21 til 5-31. all are welcome anytime to join us to see how much weight we can lose by then!

I really need help!!!! I have totally lost track of my program. I was doing so well, and now it is gone!!! I am having so much trouble getting back on track. I don't understand how I can look at myself disgusted every day, and say I am going to do all this stuff to improve myself, and then I just ignore it. It is so depressing!!! Thank god for being able to come here and vent and remember why I am doing this for myself!!!

hey!! :) girl, believe me, i here ya. its the story of my life& lately im struggling bc im not sleeping well& its staertin to take its toll. all i can say is, hang in there!

Nikki,

Dont beat yourself over it when you are ready really ready you will do it.Take small steps at first, try cutting a few things out that you know you shouldn't have.Try adding more water, or a 15 minute walk.Start small I know I would of thrown in the towel if I had tried to do as some say by the diet book.I knew I couldnt get just this and that and be happy so I as my saying goes and I have it written and post all around my house is ..
"I was overweight and depressed I will NOT be on a diet and depressed"

Try a calorie plan like 1300 a day is your limit and eat what you want aslong as you stay within your limit and drink your water that was my first goal and
I use fit day to help me.

yep. i totally agree with everything sm said! slow and easy wins the race. you can do it! stick with us!!!!

ap - same to you! hang in there! you provide SOOO much inspiration to all of us every day. listen to your own advice!!! :)

Hi gals (and guys)! Sorry this is the first I've checked in like since Saturday but things were very busy yesterday. Today is more of the same! I've been on the computer most of the morning working on VBS stuff. Mrs. Procrastinator as I am- decided to get my butt in gear and get some things done. Besides, the ladies are coming to my house tomorrow afternoon for a meeting; I couldn't let them know that I didn't do much since our last mtg! I did take a break for a quick walk before the rain came!

Well, I survived brunch yesterday and even ate out again last night! Arby's new Homestyle Potroast sandwhich is highly recommended by me!!! Without the bun; of course! Taste's just like mom made it!!!LOL.

This board has been busy since I've been gone! I read most of the posts though I'm not sure I caught them all. So, I promise to try my best to remember............

AP: I'm so glad that the chiro agreed to treat you! Being so interested in the health field; I know all to well how most insurance co. are out to screw you for all your worth! I'm sorry; but when a physician charges you $50 to walk in the door (and that's an estimate) but the insurance co. only pays $25 of it and the doctor accepts---that's unbelievable. Yet someone without insurance has the pay the $50; no ifs, ands or buts!!!! It's not fair; but what can we do. Without insurance we are screwed too!!!! Anyhow, I'm glad you worked something out! Now, let's hope the treatment works for you!

DP: only a half pc. of cake? You good girl; I'm not so sure I would have done that!

Southernmom: Let's see, where do I begin. Let me first say that I'm so glad you are safe. I was watching the Today Show this morning and the damage from the tornadoes was devastating. My heart (and tears) go out to all affected by them. And you are such an :angel: for doing what you can to help out! I would be proud to call you my neighbor! You may not think that you are doing anything special; but believe me--you are helping those people more than you know!!! your good deeds will no doubt be rewarded by the One who is watching from above! Also, congrats on your 1 month anniv. of the new you! I wish we could throw you a party!! Keep doing what you are doing; obviously it's working!!!

Melissa: sounds like you have a sensible exercise plan; mind sending some ambition my way??? LOL. Actually, I haven't done so bad myself; but I always feel like I should be doing more!!!

I'm so anxious to weigh myself; but I haven't done it yet. Figured I'd wait until Thursday. My daughter is singing a solo in the Spring Concert on Thursday night. I can't wait; as she has practiced at school but has not let anyone at home hear her yet!!!! I'm also secretly hoping that someone will notice that I have been losing weight; but no big deal if that doesn't happen. I know that I am and that's what matters most!

I guess that I should try to get some other things done. I want to clean for my company tomorrow. My hubby and son went to Emporium this afternoon--hubby bought a 4-wheeler for my daughters birthday on e-bay and has to pick it up! Better him than me--it's a 4 1/2 hour drive one way!!!! So, it's just me and the girls for supper tonite and I must go to the store; I'm almost out of milk! Won't go over well in the morning with a houseful of kids!!!LOL The rain has passed but I think they are calling for steadier showers this afternoon so I guess softball practice will be cancelled. She has her first game on Wednesday. Throw in a camping meeting on Tuesday and call it another chaotic week. My poor van doesn't get a break; sometimes I feel as if I live in it!!LOL

well hello everyone.....

How was everyone's day? Mine was actually fantastic! I woke up this morning to do pilates but decided my bed was too comfy so I got an extra hour of sleep. Then I got up for good and weighed myself and it turns out I lost 7.5 pounds last week. Wohooooo. I'm feeling really good about this diet still too. The cravings are pretty much gone and all is well. I have some Atkins bars for back up as well when the chocolate cravings are there....especially for next week if you know what I mean ;)

Anyway, I had the first day of my dental practicum today and it was sooooo great. So much better then my last one! I got to do so much. I wont bore you guys with the details but it was just great :)

Only thing that happened today was that I rode my bike to practicum which was great, but then when I left to go home, I got outside and my bike tire was popped. Turns out I overfilled it last night at the gas station so the pressure from me riding it all the way there and it sitting in the sun made it blow. Oh well....not a big deal. My dad came and picked me up in the truck and drove me home. Fortunately he just pulled up from work when I called home. So we went out and bought new tire tube things, and I also got a new seat. I'm excited about the seat cause its one of those big seats, so it will be more comfortable for my big butt! Wohoooo! I tell ya.....bike seats hurt the rear!

Anyway, I have to get going cause I have lots of stuff to do tonight still and its 7pm, so I hope you guys have a good night and a great day tomorrow :)

Oh yah.....I also lost 1 inch in my waist, and 1 inch in my hips in the last week :) hoooooray for me :)

Good morning all--I think! You'll have to pardon my mood today; I think it's PMS. I'm extremely hungry and equally as moody!!!LOL I'm trying to keep it together though. I also had 3 meetings planned for today, but managed to get it down to 2(one right after the other)! Plus, a member of the Preschool board called me to ask if I could sit in on a Executive Board meeting for her tonite!!! I reall need to figure out how to split myself up so I can be 3 places at once!LOL

Okay, despite desperately craving carbs today; I'm doing alright. I did have a small bowl of Lucky Charms but washed it down with carb cutter so I'm hoping it'll balance out. Funny thing is; it(the cereal) didn't even taste that good!

So, I decided to check in here before I get myself into any more trouble. Lunch for me is going to be chicken salad and I'm making roast beef for supper. I'm making mashed potatoes for the rest of the family but I'll just have a veggie for myself. I'm not even really into exercise today; but I vow to do atleast 30 minutes on the treadmill. I've also got this terrible headcold that is making me feel blah! Funny how I can go all winter long without a serious cold and get one now! Sorry; I don't mean to be such a complainer!!!

Where is everyone today? It's very dreary here; although they say the sun will come out and it will be close to 70. I'm still waiting for the sun!!!!

Well, guess I'll catch up on some of the old posts before doing a few things around the house! catch you all again soon!

jen: ill pardon yrs if u paron mine k? lol i too have pms&am hungry&almost blew it yest. but didnt. the carb cutter will absorb the cereal. dont worry. u sound busy wh meetings. im very upset. i gotta c lawyer thur mornin.... got a call from pt, the ins. said i cant have pt&my pain is considerably worse lately. sigh.... sorry 2 be a downer.

dp!!!! what up gf? enjoy yr taters! i dont know what im havin yet, prob. ham or cheeseburgers.thanks dp, i dont understand either..... to say i need it is an understatement :( im in chronic pain& ever since easter weekend its gettin worse&worse. i hatew 2 say this cuz its my family, but physically, i think that trip was a mistake. i just cant take anymore!
