they are really working for me, along with visual imagery techniques.
I weighed in at 163 today, down from 190.
Both weightbank and diet power softwares helped me get going. They are great tracking and inspiration tools that can be used with ANY diet plan-but they both basically run along the lines of less carbs/fats to produce less insulin and more activity to burn more fat. But the control is totally with the user.
Along with these pc programs I have put up a few dozen pics of before and after shots of a lot of women who have lost weight and are looking good that I took off the internet. I have them flipping on my screensaver and wallpaper and I also took some pictures off net of women that looked about like I once did and used my photostudio to match my current face to that body-matching color and all to make it pretty real. Then when those pictures flip it ingrains those images into my mind.
I am basically reprogramming my brain. The psychology courses I've taken say that your subconscious affects your actions and makes what it "believes"-is programmed for, a reality. Literally.
So I am brainwashing myself with all these women who have succeeded, and placing the image of me thin and healthy in my subconscious. It is making dieting a lot easier-even on bad days my will power is strong because I am starting to "see" myself as that thin person, and "see" myself as a person who eats healthy and moderately. Working out is easier using this method too, as I "see" myself as a physically active person.
I have lost 27 pounds so I know the system is working.
Thanks for listening. Hope the ideas can be helpful to some.
