Don't beat yourself up! When I do something I think is dumb, I try to make peace with myself by saying, "ok, I am sorry about that, but it is done. Now, I am going to start right now, at this moment and start my day over." I have been known to start my day over 2 or 3 times- ha ha!

Dietprincess,
I do the same thing! I eat something totally fattening and then say, "why did I do that?!" Don't beat yourself up to much! We all do it! Next time tell that craving and McD's to go away! then, come back on here for more support! We are all here for eachother! Hope this helps. ;)

Yeah really. The McDonald's milkshake is too watery. You should've gone to Wendy's and gotten their frostie instead. :)

Seriously, don't worry about it. Everybody craves junk food. You either give in or resist. But the longer you resist, the harder it becomes to hold out. Eventually you cave in and when you do finally cave, you go overboard. So don't feel guilty about getting the milkshake cause sooner or later, you would've gotten it anyway. At least by getting it now, you avoided the problem of going overboard later on. Think of it like water. The longer you avoid water, the thirstier you get and when you do finally get some water, you drink lots and lots of it because you're so thirsty.

Oh Donuts, so true. Its funny...thats pretty much exactly what I tell ppl on here when they are feeling bad about indulging! But when it happens to me, I dont take my own advice! You are so right...If i didnt just go ahead and have it, I would have probably had about 1,000 calories of something else, in an effort to quench that craving!

Thank you all!!! :) I'm feeling better about it. I'm going to the gym now to work some of it off :)

Thought I'd give you a straight answer DietPrince...

SEROTONIN DEFICIENCY!

Studies have shown that women are particularly sensitive to this. Try eating only complex carbs, i.e. whole grains if you have any carbs besides fruit. Pasta is okay too, just long as its al dente not overcooked.

DP: It could have been worse . . you could have gotten a Big Mac and fries to have gone with that shake! Its okay, we all do it once in a while and we will continue to do so........but just think, now that will satisfy your craving for a while!!!
