I just found out the other day that there will be nothing w/ Ephedra on the market anymore.
Everyone is pulling all ephedra based products off the shelves.
Does anyone know how long ago this was decided?
I must have missed the news or something.

Personally, i am glad! Now the next time i need to go to the store and look for "help" i won't have to search for ephedra free stuff. I can't take it, it actually makes me feel sick. As for the people who will miss it, i'm sorrry. The stuff must really be bad for you, huh?------------Mtn.

Ha, ha Sinn! When I read the topic........."I Just found Out" I thought you were going to tell us you were pregnant!!!!!!! O well, better luck next time!!!
I sorta figured that they were going to ban Ephedra based products. The reason for this was that our local market handles a lot of scratch and dent products and so forth. I saw just last week that they had bottles of Metabolife and Xenedrine RFA-1 For $1.65 a bottle! Absolutely no kidding! And they weren't damaged or beyond expiration. They were also normal sized bottles- not trial sized. I also did a little searching out of curiosity the other day and the Xenedrine site no longer sells the RFA formula. So, I'm not surprised!

Epheddra can and has been harmful to some people, but I think it almost a violation of our civil liberties for people to stop selling it. Let's see, there are other harmful non-fda regulated substances that have been proven to be harmful to your health like...cigarettes, for instance, that HAVENT'T been taken off the market. I took Xenadrine RFA with great results never had any side effects and my average blood pressure runs at about 110/60. People need to be encouraged to utilize common sense about whatever products they may be taking.

Diet pills are stupid! Never trust promises from businesses with paid spokespeople, even actors! I remember a local diet craze that had ads from tv newscasters and djs that later went bankrupt and is being sued by everyone. People are so easily sold out, dont become part of the problem to their evil benefit! Ew! I hate lies!

delta,
do you really think not having dangerous ephedra off the market violates civil liberties? That is a bit of a stretch, considering that we regulate substances that are only harmful to SOME people all the time...think about marijuana, alcohol and cigarettes for youngsters, prescrition drugs, etc. It is a public health issue, and we should applaud the government for taking positive steps toward increasing health and safety for all Americans.

You can still buy bulk ephedra herb by the pound. That's unlikely to change, just the supplement companies may lose the right to sell it as a supplement.
