Hello All

I am so happy to be back home and on my pc again.I have missed yall so much.I can not tell you how many times I had to picture my board buddies (yall) yelling at me,NO Dont eat that!! :)
Works for me...LoL
I did eat good while we were out of town.I am so tired and my babies will be home tomorrow and I am so happy.I have had my mommy blues while they were gone but they had a good time.So tonight is our last night with no kiddies http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/love2.gif and well lets just say mommy wont be a mommy tonight...HeHeHe :)
Good thing was I came home to a clean house and only had to wash one load of clothes, ours from the trip.
Well hubby is done with his shower so I will check back tomorrow.OH, tomorrow we are having a BBQ at our fire department for our neighborhood, so we all bring a side dish and I like it but oh I hate it I like to try what other people make, Sometimes..LoL
But it's my free day I knew this day was coming up and I am sure I will work off alot of the food swimming and walking.Well I just wanted to to check and from what I read yall have been doing a great job.
Hang in a good luck. This week has thrown me off so bad I feel like its a week day and not the weekend.Maybe I wont have to use my free day and stay within my 1200/1300 calories for the day...

I sure have missed yall and I told some friends about yall the other night over dinner when they questions came what have you done to lose the weight. The look some had "You talk with people on the internet about how to lose weight" I just laughed and said Yep I sure do and it's worked.A few of the girls asked me on the side the web site name...LOL
See yall later
Dee

Happy Saturday!

Well, there is STILL NO SUN yet. Looks like it won't be sunny until tomorrow. At least it NOT raining. We are about to float away here in NC. My flowers and vegetable gardens are awful...I think I've lost some of my flowers and some veggies. Darn!! The ground is saturated.

I did VERY good yesterday. I did have a small relapse, but corrected it before I ate the WHOLE BAG. I had to go the grocery store for a few items and I swear, a bag of WOW P. chips jumped right off of the shelf all by themselves and into my cart. LOL!!!
Imagine that http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif

I ripped them opened in the car on the way home and IMMEDIATELY began laughing at myself for such behavior. I started looking at the back of the bag for nutrient infor. I THEN actually counted out one serving - 20 CHIPS. I did eat one serving but that ws IT!!! 20 chips has 19 carbs!! :yikes: I decided that it was not worth it. I came home and fed them to the ducks. It was easier than it would have been in the past.

We're bike riding sometime today so I'll get my exercise in. I don't go to the gym on the weekends.

Welcome back home S. Mom. I'm sure you will be so happy to see your little ones. :) Don't worry about the cookout; I'll bet you will probably do better than you think you are going to.

Houdini" DID you ever get your shower last night? You were to the wire on welcoming hubby home! And, oh, how was your exercise workout?

AP . . GOOD MORNING wherever you are today. Looks like NY is STILL getting rain :(

Welcome newest board member. You will LOVE it here. We all share lots of things with each other and are very supportive and not necessarily about weight. The nice thing is that you can VENT, not only about weight, but also you can tell others about your feelings that you might not normally share at home with your loved ones!

TO EVERYONE: HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Morning Everyone!!

Are you ever just SO glad it's another day?? Man, I don't know what was with me yesterday, but there was just nothing stopping me from eating everything in sight!! Finally I figured there was no use getting mad at myself for it, so I let myself eat what I wanted as long as I entered every single thing on Fitday. That's actually a pretty good deal. At least it kept me honest about what I was actually eating!

This morning I'm still kinda full from yesterday (don't ya HATE that feeling? I like waking up hungry for breakfast!) so I'm off to the gym for an extra long workout. It's gorgeous day here in N. CA and I feel like I should be out enjoying it, but I would die of allergies! I'll just have to be content with looking out the window... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif Then back to my angelic eating habits lol...

Have a great one, y'all!

GOOD MORNING ALL! Or should I say afternoon! Yes...I slept in a little:0

Thanks guys for the words of encouragement. I am going to try and do "the grind" workout in a few minutes. I have a hard time doing regular aerobics.

DP, Rollerskating....it takes me back! And it will be great exercise. So get out there and shake your booty girl! Show those kids how it is done!

Houdini, Did you like "The Firm" workout? My sister is dying to get that. She had back surgery and is a little nervous about exercise. Let me know what you think!

S.mom, Aren't you taking Z3? How is your weightloss going? I am going to try two pills this afternoon...wish me luck! :bouncing:

Hey Sky, Welcome to the boards. I just looked at the Fitday website...that is cool! I didn't know that existed. I usually try to track my own nutrition with spreadsheets on my PC. But Fitday looks so much easier.

It is raining here in "not so sunny" Florida. So I guess I won't go wakeboarding today. If any of you want a new sport ,you should try it. It really gives the ol' body a workout.

AP, Thanks for Threading the board everyday.

It is a gloomy Sat. morning here in So Cal! I am glad to know there is some sun somewhere...I am jealous though. We have maybe had two days of sun this month. "June Gloom" at its finest. It has been cold to. I have been wearing my sweater around the house...brrrrr! I hope to putter alot today and get somethings accomplished around the house. Nothing major. Have been pretty bad since I "gave up" on this week. I hope to make a new start on Monday and hopefully not with more extra to get rid of!!
Hope all is well with everyone..just checking in to see how everyone is today! Welcome back SM!
Welcome Sky! Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Hello its raining here in Washington State! Whats new huh? :) I am doing good today. When I woke up this morning I weighed myself and I'm at 243 down from 250 last week and a half. The best part of all of this is not the weight loss. There was a big change in my life recently. I should say an addition. I have been emailing an old friend since early April, and we got together on thursday night. She hasn't been in my life for 1 1/2 years since before her wedding December 2001. We were friends before that since 1987 when we met at a community college.
She has gained 30 lbs and she is at her highest weight ever! We started talking about the reason that I stopped talking to her. When she was getting married she was a size 8 now a size 14! She wanted me to wear a dress with thin straps on it (I have big arms). Now she understands where I was coming from! She was and is such a good friend and I missed her deeply. We were like sisters.
She has been very supportive of my weight loss and recovery from Anxiety. A good friend is hard to find but even harder to lose! Take care, d :)

I know I don't post on the challenge much but I gained 2 pounds! HA, must have been the 2 Dairy Queen cones dipped in crunch AND the stuffed pizza I had 2 days last week. :D

I haven't ate that many calories in a week, in over a year. I don't see how I'm going to stay away from those cones.... I need to quit whining and get the small cone. I don't need the GIANT cone.

On another note, I talked to my friend who had a gastric bypass. She has lost 160 lbs!!!!!!! Unbelievable. Of course, I can't complain about weight to her cuz heck, losing 35 ain't nothing to her. I'm so proud of her. She has had a weight problem ever since we were small children in kindergarten. She's going to lose 20 more pounds and get the skin around her waist removed. They told her that the skin would take off between 20-50 more pounds and that she'd end up at right around 140. Considering she was close to 400 it's just such a miracle in her life.

Anyway, my mission for the week. STEP AWAY FROM THE DAIRY QUEEN! :)

Okay, why is this so hard? Why can't I just say "NO, don't eat that" and walk away? When phen-fen's were on the market I lost 60 pounds! It was SO easy. I'm afraid to try anything else now because of all the problems the phen's caused for a lot of people. Then I read about ephedra and whatever being bad for you, so I don't know what to do. HELP! Any advice?

Well I messed up big yesterday. I went out to lunch and had 2 fat cheese enchiladas for lunch. Then I came back to the office and had some candy and cookies. Then I got home and didn't work out. After that I went to the store to get dinner which was chinese food. The place I got it from was selling pies. I saw a banana cream pie that looked great. So I got that thinking I'd only eat one piece. I get home, eat all the chinese food and instead of just eating one piece of pie, I ate the whole thing. This morning, for the first time in a month, I didn't want to workout. I'm now back to eating healthy and planning to workout soon, but when I stepped on the scale this morning, my weight was 4 pounds higher than it was yesterday and my stomach is sticking out farther. I hate myself so much now.

I've been having such a hard time not cheating on my diet. I have 3 kids now and with the other two, if I lost 10 pounds then went back to eating cheeseburgers the weight stayed off. I'd get back on my diet and lose some more then go back to eating regularly. I've realized that those days are OVER for me. I just can't afford to eat junk. The weight just won't stay off.
But I've found a great motivator for losing weight. My personal trainer kinda looks at me like I can't or won't do it. I'm determined to wipe that smart a-- look off this jerk's face! This is SO much harder than it should be but I got back in the groove this week and stopped cheating so I dropped 2 pounds. Just gotta hold on.

Thank you all SO MUCH for the welcome!! I am really glad to have found this place!

Nova - I've only been using Fitday for about a week but it is great! SO much easier than any other ways I've tried for tracking food/exercise.

Darci - What a wonderful story about re-finding your friend. I just love hearing things like that.

Donuts - Wish I could offer something to make you feel better, but all I've got is a ton of sympathy. I know EXACTLY how you feel. (Hmm... I'm getting a flashback to the time when I went to make myself a peanut butter sandwich, and ended up eating the entire jar of peanut butter with a spoon  Even a whole pie isn't THAT bad!) Just remember that it will only take a couple days of eating right and exercising before you feel right back on track again.

Sunny thoughts, everyone! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/cool.gif

OUCH! my legs hurt!!! haha...but it felt goooood! I looked on fitday and I burned about 285 (or more) calories! (i say or more, b/c I only entered 40 mins. I was there for 3 hours, in skates the whole time...but slow with my daughter, and breaks,etc...so I figured 40 mins wouldnt be an overassumption of the total time spent skating) I like to under-estimate my activity points, and overestimate my food points :)

Soooo...no JT for me :( Like everyone else here is saying, its a rainy icky day :( Im so sad that i'm missing him :(, but..its thundering and everything..it would just be bad with lawn seats! :( Next year Sweet Baby James! I'm comin to getcha! :)

Nova

Hey Donuts, Just think of how many calories you burned just chewing all that. I know I shouldn't say this...especially on a weightloss board, but I have respect anyone with the ability to eat a whole pie at one sitting! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif

Just remember, everyone needs days like that just to keep your sanity.

I am having a different problem. I am finding that I don't want to eat at all. My son has a milk allergy and I was breastfeeding him. To keep his intestines from bleeding I had to cut out all dairy, soy, nuts, caffine, and spicy food. I did that for 6 weeks! But this diet caused my milk production to decrease so much that I couldn't feed him anyway. Needless to say, I had a hard time. He is on formula now( and starting to gain weight http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif) so I am no longer restricted. But now I don't want to eat anything. I think I still am afraid mentally to eat the wrong thing. But can you believe I still gained weight eating almost nothing!

I know other people have worse problems, but I just thought I would vent.

Is there a dry spot anywhere on this planet????LOL It's rainy & gloomy here in Pa with more on the way for tomorrow. Mon & Tuesday are supposed to be pushing 90--guess that's what we get for complaining about Mother Nature. Oh well, I may actually get to swim this week!

I'm just not myself today; it's be a lazy day of sorts. Woke up to a visit from AF (2 weeks late) and she's reeking havoc on my body and my attitude! I ran some errands this morning and by the time I got back; my lower back was hurting so bad I was practically in tears. Took some Tylenol Menstral stuff--works great by the way, and now I'm feeling a little better. I still don't have much energy and although I've been eating "not so healthy" things; I haven't much of an appetite. I just feel like one big blob today! I'm planning on getting to bed early so I'll feel better by morning.

We have our family reunion tomorrow. It's usually lots of fun---hope the rain stays away.

Donuts: don't feel bad, I've had those days too. The sooner you get back on track--the easier it will be. I've gone throught episodes like that---and the longer I give myself permission to continue it--the harder it is to get with the program. Exercising usually takes longer for me to get back into than eating healthy. Today is one of my off days--non-scheduled of course! I was in a hurry to run errands and meet hubby for lunch that I skipped breakfast today. Big mistake. We went to Wendy's and I thought I was doing good by eating a side salad and a burger. That was until I finished my daughters ff. It's weird, cause I wasn't even hungry at that point--I just ate them. Then for dinner I had chicken BBQ on a hamburger bun with some more FF (actually only about 5) and 2 onion rings. On any other day I would have been able to forgo these things, but not today. Only thing I can do now is clean up my act and eat better tomorrow!

I had chicken enchiladas for dinner last night. I make them myself with chicken, salsa, fat free condensed cheddar cheese soup. Wrap up in flour tortillas and top with fat free cream of chicken soup (mixed with a little skim milk), fat free cheddar cheese and bake. Yummy!!!!

Well, guess I had better go. I want to take a good soak in the tub before going to bed. I'm aiming to "sleep the AF blues away"!!!! Good night to all.

Jen
