Hi everyone! Over the past few years, I've went from 260lbs to 125lbs and now have a great deal of loose skin espically under my arms, on my belly and my inner thighs. Are there any good methods other than surgery to make my skin firmer?

I've been using Nivea Skin Firming Lotion for about a year, but I'm not sure it's making any difference. I looked for products on the web and found this one: http://www.skin-energizer.com/body_firming.htm But wanted to check here before I spent $24 to try it out.

Also, I just found this message board so I haven't read though many of the posts yet. I lost most of my weight on Michal Thurmond's 6-week body makeover. It's actually a pretty simple diet, work-out, and motivational plan that helped me loose 3-6lbs per week. (as long as I kept up my 30-minute walk every day :)

hey, I read an article about how to tighten up loose skin that basically said you need to achieve a really low body fat % (to the point where you become rippped like a body builder) and maintain it for a while so that the skin can attatch again to your flesh. Im not sure where i found it but google around and your bound to find similar alticles. congrats on the weight loss!

I am standing and applauding!!!!

Congratulations on that person you lost!!!!

I have heard Carnie Wilson talk about that, and she got surgery for it. I have not heard about anything else, though that last post was interesting!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

That is GREAT!!!

I think the only thing you can do is continue to exercise and the skin will tighten somewhat over time-- and i've heard those skin firming creams do help somewhat--- but i think it might never be totally tight-

But look at the bright side--- its better than carrying around an extra 135lbs!!!!!

Hey, thanks guys :)

I'm guessing I have only about 15lbs of fat left, but I don't want to look too thin or anything. I think I'll try to build some more muscle to replace the fat and try some more skin-firming lotions.

If I find anything good, I'll let you know how it works out.

Thanks :)
