LOL...since no one told me anything from my other post I just deleted it. I have started taking the RFA-1 right now but I ordered the EFX (new one) so I am wondering which one to take because as of now I'm not having any problems with the RFA-1. I was just wondering how much weight people have lost in the first month, on either of these. I eat well probably 90% to 95% of the time and I exercise everyday...mostly just tons of crunches, leg lifts, and between 1 and 3 mile walk/jog everyday. I've gone from 140 lbs 14% body fat to 175 lbs and probably 35 ish % body. Is it possible for me to go back to how I looked in a month with everything I'm doing and taking Xenadrine? Love to hear from you guys this time :) Thanks!

Hey, I started taking RFA-1 about 6 weeks ago. I work out for at least an hour 5 days a week, and run at least 2 miles everyday. Two weeks ago I started taking EFX when my first bottle of RFA was done. They both seem to work the same for me, and I have lost about 25 lbs, and have gained muscle. I highly reccomend both of them, and I dont see much of a difference between the two. I'm not sure if you could lose 30-35 lbs in a month, but I think 20 is attainable. Good luck!

Maybe not too many ppl have tried the new Xenadrine..
Have you heard of Xetalean? I tried researching it but it seems similar to Xenadrine. Any thoughts?

LEGAL SPEED!!!
I have used the old Xenadrine exactly a year ago, along extensive exercise, and YES I did see results. But you need to know the side effects. Ephedra is the same substance used to making SPEED(the drug), and this causes you to act in ways you wouldn't want to act. It increases your heart rate way above the normal level, and can lead to serious heart conditions. Cases of stroke are not unheard of. Be careful with it, and I would hope you would find an alternative to losing weight. You can do the exercise and keep a low carb/high protein diet and get great results. Dont hurt your body, a couple of pounds gone isnt worth a lifetime of physical and mental damage. Im glad friends and family made me stop taking them, I was starting to become very dependent on them and acting very aggressive and violent at times. Sometimes I even had emotional outbreaks....Basically MOOD SWINGS...Please get rid of them ASAP, Just an opinion!!!

I've been taking Xenadrine for 2 weeks using 1/2 the dose and w/regular exercise. I'm 5'2" 128 lbs, I lost 2 pounds when I checked (something is something). I started taking the regular dose today.
Is there a difference in your starting weight and the speed that you lose it? For example, a heavier person would lose more weight at the beginning. I think I haven't seen quick results b/c my starting weight is not that heavy..
Another silly question is..well we all know that breasts are mostly fat. If xenadrine zaps fat, wouldn't we loose cup sizes? (something that i'm sure most women don't want)
thanks for your thoughts :)

I was reading back and saw this post... here is my answer and some questions of my own that i posted on 5/2/02:
I too am using xenadrine and i love it! I've been on it for about a week and 1/2 and have lost 4 lbs. I take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I've tried 2 at a time but it makes me extremely nervous so I stick to one at a time.My sister lost 30 lbs. in 2 months and has kept it off.
What I'm wondering is... I know that body builders use it because it helps build muscle- I don't work out very much, mostly just walk. Will it work for me as well without so much excercise? hmmmmmmm The other question I have is where do you guys buy it? I got it at Rite Aid but it was like $39.00 can you get it cheaper somewhere else? Good Luck everyone!

Well, bodybuilders use it not to build muscle, but to give them energy for a workout and to lose fat. You'll certainly lose weight, since it will increase your metabolism, but of course you will lose more if you exercise.

It doesn't help build muscle, like the previous poster said, it is mostly to keep energy levels up during calorie restriction.
I lost over 100 pounds, while using ECA. But, I also worked out 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. It does give you a little extra fat burning boost. Especially first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

I bought it for $34 at GNC, but there is another supplement store in my town that sells it for $25 (for 120). Look online too, there are places to buy it, do a search for powerhouse supplements, I think its $23 or so there.
Good luck

Buy Diet fuel, has the same active ingredients, but is cheaper. Or make your own ECA stack, to save even more.

Hey There,
I used Xenadrine to help jumpstart my diet. I did have really good results. I used the one with ephedra. And I have just recently quit taking them. Shifty is right..it does not build muscle..but it does keep your energy level up. The only thing I would warn about is getting used to them. I know that when I was taking them I got used to them and they were having no affect anymore. So I had to stop and then start back up again. My Body just got immune to it.
But good luck...

Anyone know if you can get these in Canada?? I really need a boost. I exercise everyday and keep a low calorie intake. Problem is I lost 17 lbs quite quickly and now am on a plateau, I guess that is what it is. These might just give me a boost for a month to keep my spirits up. Its discouraging to work so hard and see no results!

I have been using Xenadrine-EFX for 2 days. I've noticed an increase in my energy, and a slight curve in my appetite (once while trying to finish a meal, I found that I couldn't eat anymore w/out getting the sensation to vomit). So far, so good. I like this stuff. I have experienced NO side effects. And after 2 days, I must admit, my body fat percentage has decreased--and I look slimmer (I'm 125 lbs trying to get to the 115-120 range).
Before using this, I was on Thyroslim AM/PM (a good 24 hour one, but w/ephedrine) and before that Hydroxycut. I decided to stop using those because I didn't want to do long term damage to my heart. I never had any of the "jittery" side effects, in fact, Hydroxycut made me sleepier. Not so much with Thyroslim for some reason.

I'm 17 years old and weight about 190 lbs. Prom is in 2 months and I desperately need to slim down by then. I've been looking into Xenadrine EFX because it's ephedrine-free (I have a friend taking diet pills that have ephedrine in them, she says her heart beats really fast sometimes...kinda scary), the problem is I've heard you shouldn't take any kind of diet pills if you have heart problems. I have a very small heart murmur that hasn't changed once since I was a child...then again, I have to see a cardiologist once a year. Is it safe for me or is it not worth the risk?

I've been taking Xenadrine EFX as well as dieting and excercising everyday (for 30 - 45 minutes) for 6 days and have lost 4 pounds so far. I bought the Xenadrine cause I had reached a plateau - I was dieting and excercising and not losing anything. I feel it has helped me jump start a weightloss again, and the only side effect I've had is too much energy, ergo I have problems falling asleep at nights.

Is Xenadrine EFX anything like Hydroxycut? The reason why I ask is because I used Hydroxycut up to a month ago... 3 BIG bottles over a ~4 month period. The first 2 bottles really helped me out. I ate less, didn't feel like snacking, and I worked out... not sure if it was the seeing myself loose wieght that motivated me to go work out or if it was the hydroxycut though. Anyways after the first 2 bottles were used up I ordered another bottle and after about 2 weeks of being off hydroxycut (because I ran out) I started on the third bottle. Now when I had that 2 weeks off the hydroxycut I kinda fell into old bad habits... snacked, skipped exercise. I figured it wouldn't really matter, I'd be right back into my diet/excersize routine as soon as I went back on the hydroxycut... wrong. Started up the new bottle and I felt no different... I even took the whole bottle over the course of the month and it didn't do anything for me, like I wasn't taking anything at all. Did my body build up a resistance or what? Will the Xenadrine EFX help me get back to where Im trying to get to? Im very close... I went from ~210 (36 waist) to ~180 (33 waist). I want to get to about 165 and a 31 waist. Im 6 foot even and 24 yrs old. Im willing to try Xenadrine EFX if it'll work for me.

MidwestBrat - I think you might be asking a lot of your body to drop 11% body fat and 30lbs. in a month .... with or without Xendrine. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. I, personally, would stay away from the one containing ephedra. There have been reports of healthy people having heart attacks, strokes, etc. when taking supplements containing this herb. The problem with taking it in a prepackaged supplement form is that you cannot be sure how much you're really getting. If you do decide to take it, stay at the low-end of the dosage schedule and really pay attention to how you're feeling. Don't blow off rapid heatbeat and insomnia - this is your body trying to tell you that something is wrong.
mokster - You will likely see a slower loss becasue you are in your healthy weight range. Your body wants to have a little extra fuel in the reserves. You want to be really careful to eat ENOUGH. I know that sounds backwards, but if you eat too little your body will think there's a famine (no food available) and will fight you even harder. As to losing a cup size. Yes, breasts are fat. Whether or not you lose a cup size is dependent on genetics. For some women, the breasts are the first to go - for others, they only way to lose a cup size is surgery.
DOHC2L - Xendrine RFA-1 (containing ephedra) and Hydroxycut have the same active ingredient (ephedra). However, the formulation is likely different so you may begin to see results again if you switch. I would recommend giving your body a break (yes, you built up a resistance to the stimulant). Try to maintain the new eating habits for awhile without outside help. After several months, if you feel you need some help again, go back. You have to learn the new eating habits if you ever hope to go off the pills and maintain your weight loss anyway. Might as well start now.

roxygirl - You should consult your cardiologist before taking any diet pills. Are you taking medication for your murmur? If so, there is the possiblity of interaction. Also, most diet pills contain a form of stimulant, be that ephedra or something else, and this can complicate your condition.
I'm sure you'll be gorgeous at your prom whether you lose weight or not.

Hi! I just purchased Xenadrine EFX yesterday from Walmart. I also started doing Tae Bo last week. (I love it by the way! It is fun and Billy Blanks is so motivational and inspirational! you should all try it!) Anyways....I plan on starting to take the Xenadrine tomorrow along with continuing my exercising. I am also working on eating healthier. I don't have a weight goal, but I am a size 13/14 right now, and would love eventually to get down to a 5/6 (ill even settle for an 8/9). I would like to try and do this before the summer. This gives me about 2 or 3 months. I have stayed the same weight for a while. So I was wondering...if I just use Xenadrine to help me take off the extra pounds I'm carrying and then stop the Xenadrine, but continue to workout and eat healthy, do you think I will be able to maintain my new weight? I don't want to take Xenadrine forever...just for a month or two to help me lose some weight, and since I have stayed the same weight now for a few years, I figure I could stay the same weight after losing some pounds with xenadrine. I don't know how much sense I'm making...but is there anyone out there who can give me some sort of answer? Thanks!

If you really work at forming healthier habits while taking the weight off with a diet supplement, you will be MORE likely to keep the weight off when you stop using the supplement than someone who doesn't change their habits and just quits.
But you will have to be very vigilant of your diet and exercise routine and your weight so you can see what works for you and what doesn't.

Hi all...
I've been reading around and noticed that everyone seems to have nervousness or jittery side effects from Xenadrin RF. Did you all start experiencing that the first day? I just started with it today..took one in the morning before breakfast and one at mid afternoon before lunch. And I feel fine. I don't exercise all that much except for walking once a day 5 days a week. The only thing I've noticed so far is a decrease in appetite..which is right up my alley!..and an increase thirst so I'm drinking lots of water. I'm 30 lbs overweight..this was gained from having my baby in October. I've tried for 4 months *my baby's age* to lose and haven't been successful at all. I lost 10 lbs right after having him and gained it right back 3 weeks later.
Should I expect the "getting wired" within the next couple of days?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have been on xenadrine EFX for a week now and have lost 12 pounds, I am also really watching what I eat, drinking lots of water, and being more active. They say to add a protein to every meal you eat. For breakfast I have a peice of toast with peanut butter and pure orange juice, for lunch I have tomato soup with almonds, or salad with chicken, or cheese and veggies and dip. For supper I eat normal, with whole wheat pastas or rice. I cut my carbs down at meals, and up my proteins. Drink lots of water, and if you snack dont snack on carbs such as breads. Snack on proteins. Its worked for me. I have had no side effects on xenadrine. I have WAY more energy. I have heard VERY bad things about the one with ephedrine. Would no risk my life. I am in Canada and you can get xenadrine EFX at GNC health stores, or even better on Ebay where it is much cheaper. Just type in Xenadrine EFX and bid. Take care all! GOOD LUCK!!! :)

I've been hearing mixed reviews about the product Xenadrine EFX. I've been interested in it for quite some time now, but stuck to different diets. Atkins worked great for me (I lost over 40 pounds in a little under a year). But I gained it all back and more once I started eating the most little amount of carbs.
Now I'm pretty much desperate to lose the weight. I've recently gotten a job and can actually afford to buy Xenadrine EFX! Is it worth my money?

i have used both rfa and efx and i can say, from my experience, that efx did not work for me at ALL...i have a few friends who have used efx as well and they saw no improvment what so ever...rfa on the other hand works fantastically but again, you must consider the risks...
if you want a supplement that works great but is ephedra free i recommend zantrex-3...that worked great for me and it does not have any ephedra in it, just extra caffeine i believe...best of luck to you...

I started taking Xenedrine EFX one week ago today. I just couldn't seem to stick to my diet and didn't have any energy. I just wanted to see the scale move so badly that I decided to try Xenedrine.
As of today I've lost 4 pounds. I don't know if I trust my scale. It was probably water weight but I'm just glad to see the scale move.
I am only taking half the dose. I take one b4 breakfast and one b4 lunch. Oh and I do work out 5 days a week for an hour a day.

[QUOTE] I have been taking xenadrine efx for 3 days now and have lost 3 pounds. I had been on weight watchers and hit a plateau. I let myself slide and gained 7 pounds back. I am only taking half the dose. I weigh 151 pounds and am 5'3". I love the burst of energy it gives me. It suppresses my appetite. I started taking it without dieting to see if it would actually burn fat. It has so far. I am starting on a healthy diet today.
