Now that I have gotten down to a comfortable weight I am thinking of quitting smoking. But I am scared of the weight gain. The only other times I have quit were when I was pregnant...and then I was expected to gain weight....ahhhhh heaven. Anyways, does anyone know of any tricks or tips to keep me from having the urge to eat instead of smoke??

Hi, I recently quit smoking again and too my surprise ( knock on wood) http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif I have gained no weight at all. When you have a urge to have one-find something else to do to get your mind off it or try sucking on a sucker or chew on a straw or a peice of gum. Drinking and not smoking was the hardest for me until I saw someone chewing on a straw and she told me it helps her not smoke. It works... Besides would you rather be a few pounds overweight and healthy or keep smoking and be unhealthy?? :nono:
