Hello!
Has anyone on here taken either Reductil or Xenical? If so, would you mind sharing with me your experiences on either? I'm trying to decide if I want to take one or the other of those tablets, or if I want to do something more drastic like gastric bypass or gastric banding.

I haven't taken either medication and have no experience with the surgeries you've mentioned, but I have seen weight loss up to and over 100lbs doing nothing more drastic than adding more activity and eating fewer calories.

awe, it wasnt a sarcastic answer. I know chelle doesnt believe in the pills and was just offering some advice.
I havent tried any of the above either but have researched xenical. It seemed to be the best option for me b/c it was the only pill (i found) that helped high blood pressure, instead of warning it may hurt it. I have heard some horror stories about it though, because it seriously loosens bowel movements and if anything even somewhat fatty is consumed, it can, pretty literally, go right through you (sorry to sound gross, trying not to!)....I still may try it one day, but I'm giving atkins a shot first (kinda my last ditch effort). May I suggest if you do try it, you start on the weekend or soemthing when you dont have to go anywhere to see how your body handles it.

Ive tried xenical i dont recommend for one dq is right i couldnt eat in public for sure,and i didnt lose any weight.dont know about the other i havent tryed i do know that a friend of mine took it and went from 18-20 to 12 on the reduc but not sure about side effects.\

I have just started reductil and have my first weigh in on monday 28/07/03 I feel that I have lost something as for the first time in ages I have bought a size 18 top.
