Hi everyone: I am SOOOO glad to have found this board!! I will introduce myself and then I am going to spend some time reading about everyone else.
I am a working Mom to a 7 yr. old boy, I had stayed home and did childcare for 6 years previous. I gained 40lbs easily staying at home (hope there are others who can relate to this.)I am a petite 5'4 normally, so the weight gain really did a number on my self esteem.
Last fall, with the support of my Mom, we went on a weight loss journey with diet and exercise and I have lost all the weight. So, after 7 years of being overweight, I finally feel like I found myself. People who have only known me in the lasy few years think I am either sick, or on some kind of diet--they can't beleive the difference. Anyone who has known me longer knows I have always looked this way.
I feel so much better, eating healthy (low fat) and doing mostly yoga and pilates mixed and running on our ski-machine. It is a DAILY struggle though. I am a carb addict, so a bag of chips in our house is calling to me! I feel like I could slip back into old habits so easily...
So, there I am. Looking forward to trading tips!
All the best to everyone!

hi robbit! welcome to the boards. it really is a wonderful place of motivation, and support!
congratulations on your loss! i can absolutely relate to gaining while being home with the kiddies. I'm in the same boat. Last summer I lost 15 lbs (of the 25 I had to lose), but gained most of it back over the winter. I'm starting over, and doing...well...so far so good :)
Thank you for sharing your motivating story with us!

Hi ya'll,
I want to start off by letting all you girls know how encouraging I find this board. I am so glad I found it. I just found out that I have a hypo thyroid and that I also have high cholesterol. So I am now having to take the synthroid and lipitor. I found this board doing a search on Trimbia. So I joined on 7/27/03. I should be receiving my order of Trimbia in the next few days. Or so the operator told me.
I really hope it works cause I have tried almost everything else. I have to lose more than 100 pounds to reach my ideal weight. Very embarassing. But now that I know part of the reason I haven't been able to lose.
If anyone has any tips, please feel free to share them with me. And if anyone has had any new results with Trimbia I would like to know.
Thanks,
Donna
