Hi,

I have been on a varied form of the Atkins diet for almost 2 years. I have lost 33 lbs and kept it off. In the last 2 months I have decided to try to lose the last 10 lbs to be at my goal wieght.

Here is my question: I take Neurontrin and Motrin as well as 1 or 2 vicodin a day for chronic neck pain.

I cannot seem to get below the wieght that I am at. Do you think that the medication could be the reason? I am being very strict and dont undersatnd why I can seem to lose the rest of the weight...

Thoughts? Ideas?

I think that I also am using to much sweetner ( splenda ) I know that might be a problem but I was really wondering about the meds....\\

thanks

Hi there,
I can't help you with the meds part.
Maybe you are at your goal! Do you really need to lose 10 more pounds? Sometimes we put our goal too low.
If not, are you still being really strict? Maybe you should go on induction again for 2 weeks and see. Definately watch the sweeteners. Too many can slow some people down.
Good Luck

Hi there,

yeah, I was thinking that I should go back on induction again, I mean hardcore. I am being strict but I eat as many veggies as I want, I always have done it that way, thats why I said a modisfied version of Atkins.

Anywaone else know anything aout the meds?

thanks
