Hi im 19 y/o female and i just wanted to know what my CAL and FAT intake should be eachday to lose weight

Hi jessica. It all depends on what you weigh now and what your goal weight is. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the easiest formula is to take your current weight X 10: that equals approximately what your body needs to maintain your weight. So, in order to lose: take your goal weight x 10 to figure out how many calories you should consume.
I'm sure someone else on this board is more knowledgeable than I on this subject. I'm doing Atkins so I rarely worry about how much calories or fat I'm consuming!

totally depends on your goals...For example, you could be on the Atkins plan and lose weight, but the calories and fat grams don't matter much...but if you're going low cal/low fat, it's a different story. You can lose weight either way...but never drop below 1200 calories. Lots of exercise and even more water. Good luck! How much are you trying to lose?

Ok well Here are my stats
*19
*150lbs.(?)
*5'1"
*about 1900 cal a day
*about 50 grams of fat
*goal 115 - 120
Kind of scary hua? j/k
well i did try the adkins for about 2 weeks i lost some weight i just had NO energy i felt like i couldnt even get up in the morning... but i did lose 7lbs!! im not much of a big meat eater eather, but my sister is doing it after she had her baby and lost 15lbs. in like 4 or 5 weeks she loves it so i guess its better for some then others... hows it working for you?
when i was doing it i only took in about 10 cabs..only ate once a day. ok well thanks for the posts gl on ur atkins ~JES

Hi....Just a question about one of the previous posts^ why can't a person go below 1200 calories per day, does it depend on the persons weight or is it too much of a risk?
