Maybe this is a dumb question but is it better to eat a meal even though you may not be hungry or does it hurt to skip a meal and I should eat something anyway, even if it is something small?
Thanks guys!!!!

I think if you're not hungry, don't eat.

That's not a dumb question at all.

A friend of mine skipped meals all the time, and she wound up gaining a lot of weight! She wasn't even eating that much. She went to the doctor, who told her that she had confused her own metabolism and made it slow down.

My thoughts are that if you skip a meal too often during the week, your metabolism probably does get confused, and you could end up gaining weight as a result--when that's the last thing you want.

I would say, have a piece of fruit, or something small, like you say, just to keep your metabolism going like it should.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I did like you said Sting and I just went ahead and ate something. I thought that if I skipped it then when I actually did get hungry I may overeat.
Thanks again....

It is said that you should eat something every 5 hours. Even if it is small. Otherwise your body goes into what is called "Starvation mode" and stores all the fats and stuff that eventually will just make you gain weight. To keep your metabolism up is best to eat something small... if you arent that hungry.

I would completly agree with Humrz28 -

I used to skip breakfast a lot and it had a big impact on my weight loss or rather lack of weight loss - but I forced down a small amount of cereal each morning - and allthough I will never be a big breakfast eater

I now do get hungry when I wake up and I am finding that I am not craving large amounts of food mid morning I usually have a piece for fruit.

Good luck hope you reach your goal
