I am finally getting ready to start Atkins but I am a little confused about how to plan my meals... I am not a red-meat eater to I am just looking at the lists of "good foods to eat" and thinking I will make my own menus... How do I go about it? any ideas?

You really should buy the book Dr Atkins new diet revolution. It has a lot of recipes. I just grab something when I go home as my boyfriend works later and I make him something when he gets in. also go on atkins website and there are some recipes.
also there is a thread on the boards here for atkins recipes.
good luck to you.

Hi there, there is a website,forum.lowcarber.com, for low carb diets. I have been on Atkins since June 16th. I have lost 30 pounds on it, but now I'm at a plateau. My weight is not moving. This website has a receipe section. It is so great I don't think I would have made it without it. Because you get sick of eating the same things. Try the Faux mashpotato casserole, it has cauliflower, cream cheese, sour cream, bacon, and other stuff, but it is so good. I never liked Caul. There is another stuffed Itailn chicken, yum. They have a message board, and they will answer ?. Do you have the book, you can the atkins book at Walmart for $5. I hope this has helped. With this diet you have to be a little creative, that is what I was told the first week. So good luck, and it does work my friend has lost 70, and my mom 30. Bye

thanks... I did buy the book Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution and have been reading it this past week. Is it much different than the newer books? I think this is the first one.... I am really excited about starting this but I am so worried that I won't have the willpower to do it (I love my carbs but I know I need to do SOMETHING!!!) I went on the Atkins website too but I didn't find any menus, just recipes; am I looking in the wrong section or, should I get the newer book?
