thanks hon. rofl on hubby faking it! unfortunately, i dont have to fake it- i was ready to crack by the time steve got there. i dont know what it is about that room but i get all freaked& what made it worse was them leavin the door open plus steve had other ppl ahead of me so i was in there a while. i was goin nuts! i actually prayed hed ome& get me out& he did :)

AP - do you think it would be better if they didnt put you in a room until they were ready for you? i think it is an anxious time for anyone really... maybe you culd stay in the waiting room and then have dr steve come get you as soon as he is ready....just a thought

WELCOME BACK WHIRL!!!!((((((hugs)))))) I missed ya. Glad you had a great time and made it back home safetly.
For those of you who did not know YES my DH is a vice officer. He has to do the dirty work of putting drug dealers, prostitues, and other high crime offenders behind bars. At first I did not know how to accept this promotion but I have come to terms with it. He has been with the dept for 10yrs and in vice/narcotics for 6yrs. I will say this...my life has been so different being married to a cop. It is not the same life as the rest of you live. I am greatful that he is a good husband and father. A lot of the guys he works with are awful. They give him a hard time because he is always calling me from work. I love him dearly.-Roni

Sue...waltham is right outside of boston. It's great...just close enough to be in the city in 10 mintes, just close enough to the sticks to be there in 10 minutes! Too bad I can't afford even the crappiest house there. Ah maybe someday!
Bar Harbor is great! (Of course down here its Bah Hahbah :) ) I wish I went up to Maine more, but I only go about once a year. It just makes you FEEL 90% healthier to breath Maine air, doesn't it? (Though I guess that's ironic considering the polution that the jet-stream drives in to parts of Maine) My best friend and I are going to Old Orchard Beech in Oct. HAve you ever been there?

I tried not to hear anymore after that but i heard enough. he was saying how my friend needed to find someway to get me to go up to see her next weekend etc etc... well i know my DH and he would be very upset if he knew that i found out so now i have to "fake it" but i am a really bad actress!! what to do??? my only sort of out is that my friend called yesterday and asked me for his work number and he had tried to blow it off later by saying they needed some track lighting for their house (he sells electrical supplies)...i kind of figured something was up then but tried to put it aside..now i know for sure... :eek: help me! what to do!!?

Maybe if you don't try to fake it too hard, but just keep saying you didn't know, no matter how many times it comes up (it would be like hynotizing them!), just keep saying "I had no idea". People usually do beleive things if you tell them a MILLION times!

Just go away into another room whenever he is on the phone...and I mean AWAY so you can't hear anything..that way you WILL be surprised b/c you have no idea What he is REALLY PLANNING TO do....only that it is going to be a surprise! And that way you WILL BE SURPRISED! See....a little psychology goes a long way here! I'm laughing at myself for trying to psyche you into this..but you can and WILL be surprised if you don't know the REAL details!

Snoopy: I know how your feel. I knew about my baby shower-didn't help that they left clues lying around for me to find! I found a list by the phone one day with the names & numbers of all my close friends and family---in my hubby's handwriting. I figured either he wrote them down for his mom or he was planning on finding a new wife since I looked like Shamu!LOL Then, at a family the weekend before my shower; one of my relatives said "guess I'll see you on Sunday". There was no planned "get together" for that SUnday. Then, on that day--my cousin calls and wants to know if I want to go shopping. Well, I was feeling particulary rotten that day (literally sick & tired of being prego) and my hubby made me go!!!! I did try to act surprised although I did admit later to DH that I knew!!! We had a great time anyhow! I should have faked going into labor just to get them going!!!!
Well, hubby will be home soon and I have nothing planned for dinner! My tummy still isn't feeling right so I may skip it! If this keeps up; I'll lose weight real fast!!!LOL I haven't taken my walk yet; I think I can handle atleast 30 minutes--we'll see.
