Hi everyone, well this is day 12 for me on CLA along with exercise. No change yet. was hopeing to lose a few more lbs but Im stuck at this weight after loseing 16 lbs. My body is being very stubborn right now.

Sounds like we're in the same boat, Sue. And some days I feel like I'm sinking fast--LOL. I've been taking CLA for about 11 days now--with no notable change. I've also been exercising with the exception of this past weekend and I can't seem to get below 146. im not sure what else to do! I'm still taking the CLA--i paid for it so I'm using it until it's gone. I've heard some say that I could be gaining muscle and therefore that's why theres no change on the scale. But, there's no change in my clothing either. So, I'm left dumbfounded again!!! But, far from giving up!!!!

Keep going everyone--Like you said "you bought it--use it up." You could be stuck at a plateau right now and hopefully just keeping up your routine of exercise and good eating will help. I still suspect that Atkins and CLA will not necessarily work out--being high fat and CLA fighting fat. I did a low fat diet and lots of veggies and veggie soup to start so I lost lbs quickly and motivated me to keep going. Once I was losing I slowly introduced other foods, but still kept low fat.
Maybe post an average days meals for us to see and maybe there is something hidden in there as to why you are not losing. As long as you are not GAINING! That is great in itself!

Hi , this is a pretty good idea of what i eat. and Im tired of it. (2 months now.)
Breakfast
egg beaters, 3 pieces of bacon, sometimes orange juice but not every day.
snack
cheese
sometimes a peace or atkins indulge bar
sometimes for lunch like today. atkins shake and a small container of chichen salad or a regular salad with regular dressing
diet ice tea
snack
hard boiled egg
dinner
fish and small salad
thats it
Im really not eating a lot of fat. sometimes dinner I may have some meat and a salad.
any suggestions.

Hi guys!! I've been on cla for two weeks now and I'm still holding at 8 pounds lost. I am also at a stand still, with my weight loss, plus it is also that time of the month and I like to avoid the scale, if ya know what I mean...lol. Anyway I'm trying not to get discouraged and you guys shouldn't either. We're all in this together, we can do it!!

Hi Angel, you are right of course we cannot get discouraged. If the scale would drop just one pound under 170 but this is going on forever. I want real food. I am not going to quit. Im better now then I was . we all need to hang in there ane remember that Rome wasnt built in a day and it sure didnt take us a day to get this way. soooooooo........

as far as CLA goes, i think for it to have fat loss benefits, upwards of 12-16 grams a day was the dosage. i know it doesnt say that on the bottle, but i can cite some studies if you want. as far as a good fat, a few grams a day is great.
i think with products like CLA, people take the CLA, at the same time start to workout, drop calories, and think its the CLA alone. i havent got any results from it, but if you have, great!

robbit, what kinds of vegetables and soup did you eat? did you eat any veg. soup or low fat soup.i'm not a soup eater but i will be one if it helps me lose weight....................... thanks........

got my bottle of CLA 3 days ago, and i take 3000mg each day.these 3 days i went to gym and tried to eat low cal/healthy. yesterday morning i reached my first 103 pounds!! but i don't know why, i ate a LOT yesterday...after dinner i couldn't even move cuz my stomach was full!! i regret of eating and went to sleep right away. (i know, this is the worst routine http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/t_down.gif) this morning i got up and the weight was 1 pound heavier :< i will go to gym today and try to watch what i eat. so wish me luck!! ;)

Hi everyone! Sue: Sounds like you are eating really well actually. I would think as long as you are exercising you should see results soon. Don't give up!! You sure sound dedicated if you have eaten those foods for 2 months!
Angelina--The soup I ate at first was a cabbage borscht from the grocery store deli. I LOVE cabbage and it doesn't play cruel tricks on me! I would eat a yogurt or a Minigo for breakfast (not a big breakfast eater,) a nutrigrain bar for lunch and then a big bowl of soup for supper. I did this every night for suer a month! Some nights though I would tear up some cabbage and drop on some butter and microwave it and eat that! The thing with cabbage and most verggies is you can eat lots of them and you feel full. You just have to find foods that you like and try to go from there. Now that I am maintaining I still eat the soup sometimes, but my fave is a small tortilla with cheese and microwave it to melt. I am a HUGE fan of hot sauce so I will make myself a couple "quesadillas" and dip them in hot sauce. Satisfies me.I also 100% converted from coffee to tea. That too was a wise decision for me.

robbit, where do you find low carb tortilla shells. everyone I have checked has 10 carbs atleast.
I have been dedicated but like I said Im so sick of the same food now.
take care and I will keep taking the CLA. I do walk almost every day and I do the light weights at night.
there are 3 of them that I do and I do 50 each. I should be a tiny skinny minnie by now.

Well I have been on CLA for 8 days now.... I have lost 4 pounds so far. I have also been eating low calorie (1300 daily) and exercising 3-4 days a week for 20-30 minutes. The exercising hasn't been as consistent as I would like, but I'm still losing. I had been on this plateau where I keep gaining and losing the same 3 pounds. It looks like the plateau is broken now. A.F. is here now so who knows what I'll be at when I weigh in the rest of the week though. :(
