Man- you guys are hoppin today!!! I had a funny feeling I'd get on here and see a couple of new threads! Anyhoo, while I was gone; I managed to walk on the treadmill while watching taped episodes of Dr. Phil. It was just what I needed to get my butt moving and my motivation going in the right direction. Not only did I exercise but I've kept my eating in check so far. And I'm not planning on letting it get out of hand!!!
Shel: Snow??? Please keep it up there! While waiting for the bus this morning; we about froze our little behinds off! Good Day Everyone,
Wow you guys are quick with the posts. I haven't even finished my second cup of Java yet and already we are on # 84!!! Just waiting for my new kid to come, he is 7 years old. I am so excited, we have a 13 yr old foster son as well, and then We have our 11 yr old son. I do find it hard when they leave but hopefully the time that they were at our house has been a positive time for them and they leave feeling loved!!

Just ate a tuna salad from subway. Boy they are filling and YUMMY!!!

Snoopy, I've never been to California but I'd love to go there sometime! My husband has 2 great aunts who live out there, that we have never met.

DD and i have been watching Dr Phil just about everyday. she is almost 11 and for some reason she likes watching it..i think it might have something more to do with spending time with mommy. i was a bit concerned when we were watching yesterdays show when they were talking aobut teaching kids about the birds and bees...we have had small talks about it but i am still at a loss about the whole thing. i also have to deal with why her biological father isnt around and why she hasnt met him etc etc (long story) I knew this age would come she still hadnt really put together the fact that her grandmother that she does see occasionally is her fathers mother....it is tough being a parent sometimes... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Snoopy, it is really expensive, anywhere from $2500-5,000 dollars! And insurance will not cover any of it. I don't know if there are any other ways to get the little 'tadpoles' out of there, lol, but hubby doesn't really want another baby. Our daughter is 8 and our house will be paid off in 9 years, and he likes the freedom of having only one child.......blah, blah, blah. So did I for a while. I guess it's just my biological clock ticking........
Do you only have one child? Do you and the current hubby have any children together? What does your ex MIL think about her son not seeing her daughter? Well it's good that she gets to see her at least.

All our company is gone now....until next week. It is nice to have a quiet house. I don't know how many times I had to say shhhhh to those guys while our kids were asleep. It got to the point where I told dh don't come back until they(his buddies) were ready to pass out. Hunting season just started and I am already ready for it to end(Jan).
For the past dew days I have been waking up with a lot of energy and I am feeling so well. I just need to concentrate more on my diet and exercise now. I am going back to fitday that way I can keep a closer eye on my progress.
AP.... :eek: what the hell are they doing over there? You need to set your foot down and tell them they need to get their you know what together. That is ridiculous that you are having to wait this long for those braces. I cannot believe this.

snoopy: i did..... but he got me with the im sorry i didnt call.
i never had this trouble b/f.... what i meant was... i have them made before so i know app. how long its supposed to take. thats all. im gonna let him do it& tell him i need them really bad cuza my leg pain& then im callin him 2 weeks from mon.((((((snoopy)))))))

thanks hon, i agree.... thats why i broke my promise not to call til tomm but i gettin really pissed last night& was rarin when i woke so i called.
i dont blame ya..... im glad we have a cabin for that so i dont have 2 deal wh dad during that time. i started maca yest for my thyroid& am startin 2 feel better.

shel - my DH says he wants a child but to be honest, he is not always very responsible so i dont think i want to feel like i am a single mom again! plus i just turned 40 and i know it would be a lot harder to get PG and then have to worry if it is healthy or not and then to start all over again...i would only consider it if i thought my DH was totally committed to being a respionsible parent. most of the time he is a great person but he is still a bit of an irresponsible kid, you know???
I was never married to my DD father. We were working together when "it" happened and he was not prepared for anything like that and only wanted to give me money to "take care of it" which i would not do in a million years!! he told his mother at the time to stay out of it and threatened not to speak to her if she got involved. well about 5 years ago when my DD turned 6 she got involved against his wishes and he was not happy about it and basically has hardly spoken to her over the past 5 years. he is just starting to get in contact with her (mother). that is just sad on his part to be like that but....that is really a hard one to explain to a 10 yr old that her father isnt around because he wasnt ready for the responsibility of having a child...see i told you it was a loooong story!!!
anyway his mother apologizes constantly for her son's actions and her actions for actually listening to him for the first 6 years. i know she loves her granddaughter very much and she has basically taken me and DH in as family.
