I certainly have enjoyed my chatting this afternoon. Its rare that I sepnd this much time here, but I took a break from the yard....it still needs a LOT of work. I love my yard and I do enjoy working in it..but after this hurricane..it was a complete mess..in fact its UGLY . .ruined many beautiful plants that I had..I've got to completely clean them out and almost start over :(

"I'm laughing....mine is 60 and he was adopted and was VERY spoiled..about the laundry..forget it..but I'm still blessed to have such a wonderful husband..and men...the NEVER grow up...he is BUILDING HIS OWN CAMPER right now...seriously..no kidding LOL
SnowK...I want to go snowmobilling with you! I've never been since I've never lived where there is snow durng the winter..we have SNOW FLURRIES perhaps 3 or 4 x/s a year...no accumlation..unless real FREAK!
Now, about stopping at the pubs along the trail . . LOL...send me that beer, wings and french onion soup!
TO AP: guess you'll have to start a NO SOUP, CHILI, STEW, AND CHOWDER THREAD CHALLENGE WHEN WE START trying NOT to eat all of this warm weather food...LOL"
------------------------------------
LOL he's building a camper? That's so cool!!! My dad isn't that bad, he just bought one instead of making it haha! He makes alot of stuff though, our house would still be stuck in the 70's if it weren't for him! haha!
WHIRL! you can come snowmobiling with us lol!!! It's seriously so much fun!!! Last winter there was so much snow, you had to step down off of it to get onto the cabin porch! It also get VERY cold. My dad and I were out one night when it was like 20 or 30 below 0, and we were riding around 40mph which made the chill factor down to around 80 below. Needless to say I had ice on my eyelashes lol!!!
Shel!!! I can't believe you got rid of yours, especially where you live! You know what I'm talking about as far as how fun they are! :)
I'll send you the best wings you've ever tasted! There's this one pub called The Wayback in and they have THE BEST WINGS! Either hot, honey bbq or garlic ranch MMMMMMMMMMMMM! I totally agree that AP will have to start a thread like that, atleast for me!! HAHA!!! ;)

The weather here is soooooo freaky.
It's raining, it's snowing, it's blowing, it's raining, and then it's snowing!!!!!!! Rain mostly though.
Tonight was supposed to be Family Fun Night at the school, hayrides, bouncy room, cook-out, face painting, etc, but they had to cancel until next Thursday!! So now we have to go to gymnastics which we were going to skip to go to the school. Bummer. I get sick of all these after school sports, when it's this cold I just want to stay home, and it's supposed to be one long winter!!
Shannon, snowmobiling is lots of fun, my husband enjoyed it way more than I did. I hate being cold. My friend says I need one of my own to enjoy it most. Many times I would slide under my husband as he would stand up to catch a huge bump or hill drop. Does that make sense? I told him he needed to stay seated for my benefit!! We never got the chance to go up to Old Forge snowmobiling, maybe when we get a new one we will. Luckily there is plenty of empty land out here!!
Did someone say 'wings'?????????? YUM!!

Shel sorry about the bad weather putting a damper on the Family night! Sounded lik it would've been fun!
Honestly I HATE being cold too! My parents bought me a jacket 2 years ago and it's the best thing ever, I'm never cold on my top half. My legs do get chilly still! Also I get sweaty sometimes when we're on really twisty trails because of all the upper body work. My mom used to ride on the back with my dad and she didn't care for it much, but she got her own last year so everyone's happy now! Riding on the back is no fun, you really do need your own! lol! :)
MMMMM Whirl, Dinner sounds yummy! My tummy is rumbling. I think when I get home I'll have some string cheese. You can vent here all you want girl, you know we're here for you! (((Whirl)))

speaking of stew...my family now is big time into dinty moore beef stew..it is really good and really isnt too bad..180 cal per serving the bad thing i have to watch is they we like it with sourdough bread...i just make sure i am careful bout my servings and just have a very small piece of bread. that is what they want tonight. i am glad it is getting cooler so i can start having more soup. i do not want soup in the summer that is for sure.. i really like campbells select chicken w. egg noodle! yumm!! i have some in the cupboard but it has been tooo hot...i am glad the weather is starting to cool but i dont think our warm weather is over with yet. they say the normal high for now is 82 and we are actually below that right now!! oh well!!

I am throwing my hands in the air....I cannot keep up with you all!!!! :)
Check this out:
I found this in my March issue of Better Homes and Garden magazine.
to calculate your calorie needs:
1. Start w/ a base of 655 cal
2. Mult. your weight in lbs by 4.3
3. Mult. your height in inches by 4.7
4. Add 1, 2, and 3
5. Mult. your age by 4.7
6. Sub the total of #5 from total of #4 to get your RESTING METABOLIC RATE (RMR) in calories
7. To determine your daily maintenance calories, use your RMR(#6) and mult it by
a) 1.2 if you don't exercise
b) 1.3 if you exercise 2-3hrs/wk
c) 1.4 if you exercise 4-6hrs/wk
d) 1.6 if you exercise 7hrs or more/wk
to lose 1/2lb to 1lb a wk, sub 250-500 calories a day from these maint calories
your calorie intake should never go below your RMR and ideally should be at least 150 calories above it.
* I don't know how accurate this is but I though I would share this with you guys.
Be back 2-3 threads later-Roni

Ok you guys, I'm going off for a bit......I mean away from the Puter!!!! I'm sure I'll have lots to catch up on later!!
Did I tell you all I had to go to Gap and buy a new pair of jeans one size bigger because I didn't have any to wear?? lol. All my jeans are a size 8 and they are too tight. So I bought one pair of size 10's to hold me over til I can wear the others. $60!!! Man!! What a rip off. Usually I try and only buy them when they are on sale, but I needed them and I knew I liked their jeans, I didn't feel like going to a half dozen stores trying to find a pair I like. (lazy). And I have to admit, these jeans are lose every where but in the gut!! :( Kinda tight there. I should have looked for the stretch jeans they have, but I just wasn't in the mood for shopping, I grabbed these and left!!
Ok, I really gotta go :) TTYL

Thank you sooo much: Houdini, Jennielynn, Happy, Shel, AP, Snowkitten for your words of encouragement and support! I AM feeling better today. I'm able to handle the stress better. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif
AP & DP - You're sick AGAIN?! I'm so sorry, how lame is that? WTG AP on getting those "people" on the ball with your braces.
Beanits - your an  ! My parents were foster parents about 3 times. The last one ended up being sent home for sneaking out to party with the "boys" all the time (she was 16). But so many kids need love and support and have mental problems. You're my hero!
Snoopy - I can relate to feeling like a single parent. My hubby works ALOT! It is much better lately t hough. He used to work 2 part time jobs (which equaled more than a full time) and went to University full time while we had 2 kids. THAT WAS HARD! I'm glad it's over http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif . Hopefully things will get better as time goes by. :)
Now this better go through or I'll get my http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/hammer.gif

My car prob. is ending up costing more $$ by the minute. I now have a distributor prob. leaking everywhere!
Does anyone have FIBROMIALGIA? I was diagnosed a little while ago but don't have it severely. However, yesterday, last night and this morning I feel like I've been run over by a truck! I have achy pains like crazy all over. Is it caused by STRESS?

My car prob. is ending up costing more $$ by the minute. I now have a distributor prob. leaking everywhere!
Does anyone have FIBROMIALGIA? I was diagnosed a little while ago but don't have it severely. However, yesterday, last night and this morning I feel like I've been run over by a truck! I have achy pains like crazy all over. Is it caused by STRESS?
sorry about your car . . thats the PITTTsss!
I've heard about fibromialgia and it sounds AWFUL... can they give you anything for it?

Thanks Whirl! I just got a call from my mechanic and he says "IT'S FIXED"!!! I am soo happy and relieved! He said replacing the distributor fixed all the other probs. :D YAY!
:bouncing:
As far as fibro. Yes it can be pretty debilitating. They have all kinds of drugs they try for it. Like antidepressents (to help you sleep better) and some pain meds. I am trying to avoid all the drugs and stuff because they end up just making things worse down the road (dependency & stuff). I do take vicodin sometimes (I try to limit it severely though). And improved diet and exercise is supposed to help.
This flare up I think is from my stress level. Now that things are getting better and my stress is going down, I hope to be feeling better soon.
http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif thank you for being there!
THINGS ARE LOOKING UP :D
