I used Xendarine (with ephedra) and had great success on weight loss. Does any one know of a diet pill comparable to Xenadrine since you cannot get it with ephedra.

I know diet pills are a short term method and I will gain the weight back but I have a wedding to go to and need to lose some pounds.

This is probably way overdue, but just in case anyone presently wants the same advice...

I just started Xtreme Lean ephedra free (go it at www.drugstore.com) (http://www.drugstore.com)) and it has the same ingredients as the ephedra free Xenadrine...although I have read that "Bitter Orange" is basically the exact same thing as ephedra, and Xtreme Lean has that.

Anyhow, it works great! I finally have energy and it is a great appetite supressant. Plus, (on one pill) it doesn't make me nauseous, even if I don't eat until an hour or so afterwards. I'm thinking this is really going to help me get over my plateau even though I will not be using it longterm.

Another thing is that for some reason I am also in a better mood....feel more like myself where as beforehand I was in a depressive-anxiety type mood for days. I don't get jittery like on other pills, and I have more energy and feel more clear headed and confident...which makes it sound like I'm on coke or speed...yuck....but it's true.

Hope this helps....and I know diet pills are not the answer long term! and you have to be cautious on them.

I want to lose about 15-20 lbs, but I need to see quick progress or I get disappointed and then ignore the feelings and eat anyway. - any suggestions

I know what you mean Szarkam. I get like that too as I'm naturally impatient. I've been looking to lose 20 pounds for weeks and I've been working out really hard and eating primarily healthy foods, and saw toning but no real size-drop/weight loss. A lot of people here sware by the Atkins diet (you can lose weight fast on that). It's not for me, but it's an option.

I have a friend who's a personal trainer and when I get the chance to talk with him, I bombard him with questions about how to lose weight. He has given me the following advice:

*do 30 min of cardio 4 times per week
*lift weights to turn fat into muscle, make you leaner, and speed up your metabolism
*don't eat foods with words in the ingred. that you don't recognize or understand....this is usually an indication that they're processed and therefor unhealthy and not good diet foods.
*only eat complex carbs
*don't eat late at night
*eat less to lose, but don't eat so little that your metabolism slows down

I've personally started on Xtreme Lean to supress my grand appetite, and I am very happy with it. I am also trying to work out every day even if just a little, and I'm nto eating whole milk or dairy foods except on one lucky day of the week. I have dropped pounds quickly from cutting cals, but I have reached a plateau so I am upping my strategy.

If there's anything specific I can help you with, let me know. My biggest issue is in gaining confidence that I can motivate myself to achieve my goals.

Good luck :)
