Whirl, I know what you mean! Once a year I go through my closet to give stuff to good will and I always seem to find clothes I totally forgot about. It's fairly nice here, even though I really would know. I havn't stepped foot outside yet today (Yeah, I know it is close to 2). I love Saturdays!

Me oh my, this place is soooooo quiet now! ;)
Just finished my workout... yippee for me, I did it 5 times this week like I promised myself I would! Now it's time to go shower & start getting ready for the Halloween party, so this is probably the last time I'll be on the board tonight. I'll try to check in sometime tomorrow.

Lisa...I hope you are ok and that you have talked with you DD and SIL. I'm sorry but I just can't get it off my mind. But his being mad at you for not cooking him dinner is way way out of line and disrespectfu! Whose house does he think he's living in anyway? How in the world was he going to support your DD and a baby? I know that you were counting on the business as were they for jobs, but if she were still pregnant, does he think that you were going to continue support and take care of them?
I hope you don't get offended by this, but I was told one time in my life that "I was the enabler of a certain situation" since I allowed it continue and it was no one's fault by my own; and that was so true.
I know you love your DD and will take care of her..but he needs to be told about the REAL FACTS OF LIFE! He needs to face up to the fact that he has a wife and needs to accept some responsibility and act like he is married.
I know that it is EXTREMELY tough to lay down the law; then, I think the worst part, once the ground rules are set, is your having to actually enforse what rules you have made, if and when they don't abide by them.
Sounds like to me as long as you continue to feed them, provide a warm place to sleep, pay for electricity and a telephone for them - he's not going to hold down a permanent job b/c he thinks he doesn't have to work.
Sorry for getting into your personal business, it just really gets under my skin and has irked me to no end.... when he got mad b/c you had not cooked him dinner?!?!?! I honestly hope I'm not sticking my nose too deep into your personal family life, but I do care about what is going on and the way you are being taken advantage of and how SIL is being so disrespectful and ungrateful to you and to your DH!!! And, I think that your DH is a saint!!!

Awww Whirl, your so sweet and so right on everything you said!! I need to stick by my words and not let them run all over me. See, he is used to doing that back home where his Mother is and to tell you the truth, i dont know if he will ever grow up because if we tell him to move it will be back with his Mother!! I wish I would have known all this before we spend 2,500.00 to move them here, I could be living on that right now. We just got back from WalMart and we spent 200.00 on food, we do every weekend and they have not pitched in at all!! Oh, I could go on and on!! My DH told me he is laying down the law when they get back home. My DD told me he called in sick so he could look for work at the mall and I told her how upset I was about that and I just left the house! Glad I did, It would not have been pretty!! I said what I wanted to her and the rest will come later!! Gosh, here I go again, going on and on..........Sorry

Hey, thught I would take a break from my work and stop in for a bit. I am going to supper in about a half an hour. I think I decided to stay in today. I think the Country Hoe-down will be tons of fun, but I really think I should rest and see if I can get better first. I'm not sure if more is coming (other then losing my voice). I'll work for awhile, and then probably watch some voies with some friends.

Hi everyone!! We are home from Hershey Park (PA). Had lots of fun!! It was a rough start, my daughter got sick on the way down, but I think it was a mixture of car sickness and not eating breakfast (she wouldn't eat a thing)...anyway, we just got home a bit ago and I want to veg out in front of the tv for a while...

Yep, he has done it again!! My SIL just got a job a week ago and I get up this morning and he is sleeping! And, yes, he works on Saturdays!! I knocked on his door and he said that he going to the mall looking for work. So, he called in sick with the job he has to go play around all day, well, he slept until almost 1. I was not home but my Son told me. See, my DD was off work today so I know that why he played hookie from work.
