I was wondering how long I should walk/run on it each day? Does it burn fat everywhere? Thanks!

Hey there... The best thing that I would suggest is to "power walk" rather than actual running on a treadmill. I really think there is no difference in running or powerwalking on the treadmill. Personally, I can't stand running on a treadmill. As long as you keep your heart rate up at a steady level, then that is just fine. Remember to wear comfortable yet rugged workout sneakers.

Set the treadmill to the speedlimit where you start feeling that you can no longer really "walk fast" but need to start running. If you have an incline, try to keep it as high as you can handle. Turn on the TV and powerwalk your way to success. I try to keep it between 20-30mins in the morning and 20-30mins in the evening (if I am up to it). Work at your own pace...

I can't say a speed off hand because it totally depends on how tall your are. Hope this helps...

drumstix,

What kind of shape are you in right now?? If you are not used to any kind of physical activity please start out slow. I bought a treadmill a few years ago and I really hadn't done any kind of exercise in a long time. I started out at a speed of 3 on the lowest incline, did 20 minutes, and slowly, over time, increased both the speed, length of time, and the incline. If you try too much too soon your more apt to quit doing it.

Good Luck!

Shel
