I had my IUD removed Feb. 12th. My husband and I are trying to have our second child. I've had several pregnancy test done in the last two weeks all of which were negative. My period was due Mar. 1st, it is now the 4th and still no period. I've always been VERY regular. I re-tested for pregnancy this morning and again got a negative result. Why haven't I gotten my period? Can having an IUD removed throw off your cycle? Any responses are appreciated. Thanks!

it depends on the type of iud you had out.
if it was a hormone one, like mirena, yes, your cycle may need a little time to even out.
if it was a plain iud(just to stop an egg implanting) i see no reason for your cycle to be affected.
but you're not that late, the excitement of trying for a baby could be putting it off.
give it a few more days and then see the dr.
good luck!
