Has anyone had the Thermachoice (endometrian ablasion) procedure done? This is where the burn the lining of the uterus. My OBGYN suggested it as an option to hysterectomy. I already have 2 children and don't plan for more. I had to come off the pill because it shot my BP skyhigh. My periods are irregular and very heavy. He said that it could help maybe even stop the periods all together. Just want to know....
THANKS

RareEndo, Thanks for your posting. This is all I know about it.

Thermachoice is a procedure, done vaginally, where a cath. tube is inserted and filled with 180 degree water and it will "burn" the lining off the uterus. According to what I read it can be outpatient and usually with very little pain. Usually only cramps are experienced after this. The lining will shed for about 7 - 10 days.

I did an internet search for THERMACHOICE and found all sorts of info. Sounds like a great option.
