What does your doctor say? Are you about due for your 6 months post op?
Have you been having this problem for a while?
Have you seen the Doctor since you were cleared after your 12 weeks?

I am almost 9 months post op from a TAH. My scar is from just under my navel to my pubic line as doc had to follow a previous scar. I had the sharp pain too and the muscle beside the navel was so sore and it felt like it was moving but the doc said it was a spasm. The pain in your lower tummy could be bladder related since the bladder and intestines settle into the spot left by the uterus. I think 6 mos is a little long to have these symptoms though so I would get in for a visit my scar caused me alot of discomfort too. Take care.

Andrea, Good Luck with your appointment. You really needed much more post op care than you were given.
Any number of things can go haywire for a good while after a hysterectomy and most importantly depending on WHY you had the hysterectomy.
I had mine back in April and I've had 2 additional surgeries since.
My last surgery was just back in JANUARY
I'm still healing from the hysterectomy my self.
If you don't get good answers with your current doctor find another doctor.
That's just terrible about your after (non existent) care.
I finally went to a reproductive endocrinologist who really helped me.
You might try a doctor of that specialty.
They see a lot of post hysterectomy problems.
Take care and let us know how you are doing

If your in terrible pain you may consider a visit to the Emergency Room.
Sounds like something is up, not just your everyday post op problems.
I'm going for a surg. consult for a TAH BLO and have Endometriosis outside the pelvis. I've had numerous abdominal surgeries and each and every time had lasting debilitating effects from the surgery.
Some things pop to mind, one being adhesions and scar tissue. Two being a incisional hernia. Three what was the reason for the hysterectomy? Are you getting add back therapy?
Take Care and God Bless Hope your feeling better soon.

Please let us know how your appt went. My aunt is having this procedure done later this month. I have encouraged her to visit this website, but I think she is shy of the iternet.
I'd like to pass on your experience and outcome to her so that she can be a little more informed about post-op possibilities.
Thanks. I really hope that you are feeling better.
