Hello
Ive been suffering with Anxiety and depression for about 18 months now and im starting to wonder if it could be hormonal. I havent really noticed any pattern b4, but ive been pretty good the last month up until now...my period.

Can i just ask if anyone notices they get depressed before or during their period?

t the moment i feel very sick , in quite a bit of pain, very dizzy and unable to focus or concentrate very well...and my mood is low...

Does anyone have the same problems?

Yes. I've been having mood issues, myself, and they always seem to get worse just before my cycle starts. I lash out more, plus I get more emotional and cry more easily. Not to mention cramps, though they're much, MUCH easier to deal with now that I'm on bcp. When I was in high school, I would get such awful cramps that I had to stay home on more than one occasion.

It's good that you've recognized the pattern. Hopefully, you'll be able to try rationalizing your mood. If you feel you're just unable to cope with anything, just sit back and say, "wait, what time of the month is it?" At least for me, recognizing the connection does make me try to keep my emotions under control.
