Has anyone here experienced a thick, pasty white discharge with no odor? It kind of smells like flour, but I don't have any itching or irritation. It seems to get worse right before I start my period and right after. The rest of the month it is there, but mild.
I was thinking about using a yeast treatment, but wouldn't there be itching or burning if it were yeast?
Thanks...sorry to be so graphic.

Any unusual discharge needs to be checked out by the doc. Trying to self treat an infection can make things worse and lead to more problems. See your doc for a definate diagnosis.

Thanks. I've been to the doctor. Everything checked out "normal." So I am not self-diagnosing. I wanted to know if there are any other women who experience this as a "normal" discharge. The doctor told me that it is normal for a woman's discharge to increase before and after her cycle. I just wondered if it were normal for it to be so thick and white. I haven't had a yeast infection in years, but it just kind of looks like one to me.

i have something similar and it dries white to a white-ish yellow on my panties. it is 'normal' for me too.
i'm not sexually active, though i'm on the bcp, so that may have something to do with it too.
drs. have said that all women's discharges are different.

Thanks Sapphira,
I guess it's just bothering me now because it's almost "that time." And I just don't like the way that it looks.
I wonder if drinking water has anything to do with the thickness of it. I don't drink much water. I think I'll try to drink more.
But thanks! :)

you're welcome.
mine is heavier too just before my periond and right after, then it tapers off a bit but like you said it is still there.
does yours have a yellowish tint to it sometimes after it dries on your panties? also right before my period and right after, it sometimes gets brownish.
