everybody always says shaving is bad, so i would like to try waxing, but im too scared to do that cuz my sis says it could pull of your skin, i wouldnt want that to happen.. she said it happened to her (just a little tiny bit of skin), so maybe if i did a lot of skin could get lost :S so um is it possible? im probably gonna stick by the shaving anyway though... im not risking losing skin..

yes. with normal strip wax, some skin is removed. it's not like you'll be missing huge amounts of flesh or anything though. (most likely won't even be noticeable.) but with hard wax that only sticks to hair, no skin is pulled off.

at least, that is the way it's been explained to me by estheticians.

I've done all my own waxing at home for well over 10 yrs and have used cold wax strips and the heated waxes. I've never lost any skin and would think that would only happen if you didn't properly prepare the are which you are going to wax or applied a too hot wax.
