I was just diagnosed with addisons disease but I have had the symptoms for a while. I had the test done after finding out that my biological grandmother died from complications from addisons.I am 25 years old and I have horrible hot flashes followed by nausia, dissiness, and confussion. This has been happening since the birth of my first child but has increased in frequncy since the birth of my second child. I had very hard pregnancies with both and almost died with the last one. Both of my children are healthy (Now), but my youngest was born with white hair all over her back, neck, and sholders. It is the thickest hair I have ever seen in my life. I am wondering if this could be a reaction to the addisons? If anyone would know anything please let me know.
Thank You,
Tina

I would ask your Endocrinoligist Dr.,I have found they are the ones who know about Addison's Any other Dr. will just refer you back to them[the Endo Docs]

I didn't know about my Addison's till after my childs birth either!![it was a really hard pregency, too] and then the Dr. knew so little he couldn't tell me if the HydroCortisone would hurt my child as I was nursing at the time,so I just didn't take the pills!! Big Mistake!! I almost died from a Addison's Crisis.

Your symtems sound like my Diabetic low blood sugar crisis!! I pour sweat, get nausia, and I get shaky, and if I don't get some protien or sugar, and the blood sugar drops lower,I get very confused!!

Have you been tested for Diabetese????
