Hmmm... How do you keep your pubic hair smoothly shaven? I tried shaving.. but the ingrown hair was driving me crazy and it takes too long to pluck them all. I was thinking about waxing but I think that would be too painful. (But it seems like the only thing i can do anyway) anyway.... even if i pluck or shave (with 3 blade razor and shaving cream and lotion after) its still not smooth, like your legs after shaving.. it feels like its been a day or 2 since i shaved and its not very pleasant to touch. How do i get it completely smooth? If i let it grow back completely, will it grow back like it was before i shaved? Will the ingrown hair stop after i stop shaving? What are some ways to keep it clean? Also, I have hair like.. sorta inside.. not inside my vagina.. but if you just trace your hair down i hvae to spead the part to shave it, but i cant shave that area because the angle is really weird. is it norml to have hair in places like that? (i dont know what the body part is called) how do i get rid of that hair?

Getting it completely smooth with a razor you have to shave against the direction the hair grows. Shave up pretty much instead of down and you have to angle it towards the bikini line. It hurts and bleeds at first but go slow and be careful. After a while your down there area gets used to it. It's like shaving a guys face pretty much.

Oh and it's normal to have hair where you said you had it. I shave mine though, it's hard to do but if youre careful enough it can be done. I also have a simplique I got for down in that area which works well too.

okay, i dont know if this works for everyone, but i've learned that when i shave in the shower it comes out the way you described - not completely smooth. BUT one day i didnt have time to hop in the shower and i tried shaving my bikini line DRY without any shave gel or water. i used the mach 3 razor for men and it came out SMOOOOTH. =) (shave against the hair growth and pull your skin tight while you're shaving) bad thing is, it only lasted for that day.. the next day its spiky again.
i recommend waxing. it hurts, but its fast and it stays smooth for 2 weeks. and when it grows back, it grows back softer and thinner. just take a couple tylenols before u go =)

i tried shaving against the hair growth...didnt do much.. i tried waxing.... but im not sure if im doing it wrong but it only pulls out a few hair out of a whole patch of it...:T i dont want to wax the same place over and over and over again because then it really would irritate my skin and get itchy... i dont really want to walk around scratching that area :) is it safe to use wax in other areas around the vagina, not just the bikini line?

you are in california? call around to see if any spas or salons offer bikini waxes (and if you want everything removed, ask for a brazilian wax). it's a little painful the first time (you can take some tylenol or something beforehand if you are concerned about pain). afterwards, use a product like tend skin to prevent ingrowns and rashes/bumps. also get a loofah and loofah the area gently in the shower each day (that will remove the dead skin and help to prevent ingrowns).
oh, and if you can handle plucking, a brazilian wax will be no big deal.
:)

I use a beard trimmer to shave "downtown". It doesn't get it completely smooth like using a razor but it cuts it down pretty far. No irritation or bumps because the razor does not touch the skin. I love it! Quick, easy, and painless.
