I'M EMBARRESSED WHEN I GO OUT AND I CAN'T STYLE IT. I USE HAIR SERUMS BUT THEY DON'T REALLY HELP AND THEY SOMETIME'S MAKE MY HAIR LOOK OILY. CAN ANYONE HELP?

I assume when you are refering to puffy hair, you are talking about the little frizzies or fly away hairs sticking out. Forgive me if my assumption is incorrect. I have that problem with little frizzies and fly aways and my hair is naturally straight. If I let my hair air dry or it's humid, it looks even worse. I can't really give you a solution since I'm trying to find one myself. I ususally blow dry my hair to make my hair look smoother which helps improve this condition. Then I have to just brush it throughout to keep it down. Somtimes I use that styling lotion for straightening hair, but like you, it makes my hair look oily.

hi! like i said when my hair dries it's puffy. i think maybe because it's dry. i'm not sure though. it just doesn't lay flat like normal hair would. when it dries, it just looks thick and puffed out instead of layinf flat. i'm sometimes afraid to blow dry it cause i feel it might damage it more. but i tried blow drying it yesterday when i used the serum and it seemed to help a little bit. but i still kind of have a problem styling it. i think one of the things that helps my hair a little bit is "the feel" by l'oreal. it doesn't make my hair greasy. but it still doesn't seem to solve the problem much.

Hi. One of my friends told me about this site, and I think it is great because you get to help other people and also get help too.
Anyway, have you tried any of Tressemme's hair products? If you have not, that is my suggestion, particularly Changes of Tressemme. I think that is what it is called. I am not sure. If you use Changes, get the shampoo and conditioner. I often blow dry my hair, and my hair looks undamaged and probably is undamaged because of this Tressemme product. I am sure there are other products too, but I suggest this one.

:) HI GENESIS! THX. FOR YOUR REPLY. I AM CURRENTLY USING HYDROLOGY BY TRESSEME. HAVEN'T NOTICED TOO MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE THOUGH. I NORMALLY DON'T USE HEAT ON MY HAIR. I THINK SOME OF THE PUFFINESS IS DUE TO COLORING MY HAIR AND POSSIBLY FROM THE LAYERS. I'M NOT REALLY SURE THOUGH. I'VE BEEN USING A LITTLE HEAT JUST RECENTLY BUT ALSO USING PRODUCTS SUCH AS THERMASILK TO PROTECT MY HAIR FROM HEAT. STILL DOESN'T MAKE MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE. CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT AND IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!LOL http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif

HI! I WANTED TO SAY ONE MORE THING. I'M DEFFINITELY NO EXPERT ON HAIR BUT MY HAIR USE TO BE FINE AND THIN BUT NOW IT SEEMS FULL AND THICK. THE PEOPLE AT MY USUAL HAIR SALON (FANTASTIC SAMS) SAY MY HAIR IS DRY BUT IT'S EXTREMELY SOFT AND SHINY YET IT'S PUFFY WHEN IT DRIES. IT'S REALLY VERY CONFUSING. EVER SINCE I STARTED PERMING MY HAIR WHICH WAS A LONG TIME AGO MY HAIR SEEMS LIKE IT'S GOTTEN THICKER WHICH IS WIERD CAUSE SOME PEOPLE I KNOW WHICH HAVE PERMED THEIR HAIR SAID IT MADE THEIR HAIR THINNER. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I'VE PERMED MY HAIR AND I DOUBT I WILL EVER DO IT AGIAN. BUT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT'S SO PUFFY. :(

Hi, i have the same hair problem...but i found the solution...first of all...fantastic sams will never know how to deal w/ your hair...if u go professional u have to go private...where they know how to work your hair...i have learned by watching them when they do my hair....u have to blow dry it straight..buy some leave in conditioner, wash your hair, condition it well, rinse, when u get out put the leave in conditioner (i recommend either pantene or herbal essence), brush out...go to sallys, they have these really huge round brushes w/ thick but soft bristls..these will help to hold your hair...w the brush u take a good sized amount of hair, rap and pull straight, take hair blow dryer and blow air down...u just keep doing that till your hair is dry....and even in the humidity it will stay...i know it's hard to explain...but go to a small time hair salon..and ask them if they know how to blow dry hair straight...if they do u will walk out of that salon looking like a movie star..no lie...good luck!
