I'm 18 and I have had 2 surgerys called unroofing and I've had this problem for over 3 years. I've been to a general doctor for both surgerys and with no real luck. Now he is trying phenol and after a week the area has gotten really big like it's swollen. If anyone knows more info about phenol or about anykind of surgerys, meds. or other doctors please notify me.

For stubborn cysts that won't heal, a surgery to remove the walls of the cyst is usually the best treatment. It totally gets rid of the cyst and leaves it no place to come back to.

I had a cyst on my tailbone that kept coming back over and over. I would go to the doctor, and he would lance it off, and drain it. Finally, after alot of pain, they did surgery to remove it. It has not come back. However, my step father had the same thing, and he had to have 2 surgeries. It's not fun.
