Hi-
Thought I'd start a new topic - that one was getting really long!
Anyway, I've had Addisons (Adrenal Insufficiency) for 10 years and always been on hydrocortisone. I think it really comes down to Dr. preference at first. Beyond that I think Pred. is longer acting and is processed a little different by your body. Some people seem to do better with it, some not. Also some have side effects from one and not the other.
Hope that helps!
