I am 19 years old and have been experiencing chest pains for the last 3 or 4 years. They began very mild and happening occasionally, but lately they have been getting more frequent and extremely painful. They seem to occur most often after i have worked out. If anyone has any thought as to what it is or what i should do about it, i would appreciate it...Thanks

which part of the chest? ...or is this in the rib cage and at what location?
At least its probably not life threatening if its gone on this long.
Does only at particular physical activity bring it on or do other things like eating, driving, lying do it?
Please be more specific.
What makes it worse and what makes it better?

It hurts towards the center of the chest cavity. It seems to come when i take a deep breathe. It is an extremely sharp pain that makes me buckle over. It only occurs when i work out, running, weightlifting, wrestling, etc...It seems to be getting worse as time passes.

It's time to have the thoracic spine/rib cage and their possible effects on the local nervous system evaluated. You could have a deteriorating spinal posture that is stimulating the nerve plexus when physically loaded. You really should consult with a well recommended chiropractor in you area. Most will provide at least some form of preleminary consultation without charge.
