View Full Version : Addison's Disease And 'The Shakes'

Hi, I was diagnosed with A.D after an Addison's Crisis in May 2001 and although I was given the incorrect diagnosis three times, I was first told I had an inner ear infection !, I was not all that worried. Recently though at work I have noticed that I tend to get the shakes. I'm a Lab technician and I work with precision tools and it's something that seems to have come on recently. It does vary but the shakes have started to become much more noticeable. What I'm wondering is if anyone else has noticed this and what advise they may be able to give.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Hi Matt-

Yes- I get the shakes off and on as well. If my cortisol levels have been off for a while (happens sometimes when I've had an extended period of stress or illness). I have never been 100% sure though if that is the problem but it seems to eventually go away once the situation calms down. I also am hypothyroid and that can cause the shakes. Might be worth checking out. Good Luck- P.
