My daughter started school this year. A month ago she started complaining about stomachache after getting up from bed and headache in the afternoon.

A number of doctors and specialists were consulted. Food allergy sources were eliminated and various medicines taken, but there was no improvement. It was also suggested that the child was suffering from anxiety from going to school.

Then she started coughing at night as well. Running out of options, we took her to see a traditional Chinese herbist. The herbist felt her pulse, examined the web between her thumb and first finger, and concluded she had "wind". He then proceeded to describe the symptoms to us, which were exactly what our child was suffering from.

The herbist said it was no big deal and then gave us some herbal concotion and powder. It was really effective. She became once again the active child she was.

We are so relieved and grateful that we want to share this advice with anyone having a health problem that normal Western medicine cannot seem to cure. Don't give up hope. Give the nearest traditional Chinese medicine man a try.

Hi,

Glad to hear this has helped your daughter, but it is just as effective for adults too. Personally, I cannot take herbs, as they make me vomit and upset my stomach generally, but I do have regular acupuncture treatment, which is really great.

In Chinese Medicine terms, 'Wind' invasion is an external pathogenic factor. These days, most peoples' immune systems are not as good generally due to our Western lifestyle, so rather than having a cold as the first sign and level of disease, this would now manifest in the internal organs as stomach pains and upsets and headaches, such as your daughter had.

Chinese Medicine is very effective for helping lots of things with herbal medicine as well as acupuncture, as they make their diagnosis on the basis of the whole person rather than just the site of the pain in the stomach or whereever it may be.

Good luck and keep up the good work, I intend to.

Sarah
