Try a search engine? And keep us posted? Thanks. Doby 06-01-2003, 07:39 PM I still look "normal" as well but have just been diagnosed with Stage II Adrenal Dysfunction by an ND and an adrenal stress index that she had me do. My primary wouldn't run the tests I wanted because I didn't display any of the "normal visual symptoms" such as discoloration of the skin and the hump on my back. Of course, that doesn't mean that I don't have an adrenal problem. Having a hard time working on a program that works though. Help!! whenwillitend 01-30-2004, 11:30 PM hi i do have a question, i had a ct scan last wk for ibs and the scan showed that i have an adrenal mass........does anyone know anything about this and how its treated? orion 01-31-2004, 01:34 AM Is it possible to have an bad adrenal disorder, but still physically look normal? For one thing your adrenals could be intermittent producing some weeks and not others. I would say the initial symptoms would be fatigue, weight gain/loss, dizzy spells that go away and lots of other little things you wouldn't ordinarilly notice. That's why this disease is very hard to diagnose.....you look normal and no one believes you are sick. Of course lots of diseases start out like that too (hence hard for a doctor to decided). whenwillitend 02-01-2004, 11:11 PM guess no one knows, ah well i'll find out in time gertie 02-03-2004, 02:36 PM My experience with addison's disease is that I no longer grow body hair under my arms and very little on my legs. The one symptom of the disease I actually don't mind. sassy koala 02-04-2004, 04:31 PM My adrenal system failed on me a couple years ago and they never figured out why. I first noticed neauseousness, and then bloating. then extreme fatigue. I also got very hairy in the face, but started losing hair on my legs and head. I still have thinner hair and patchy spots onmy legs. And I swelled so fast that I have stretch markes all over. Just wanted to share my experience HeatherW 02-04-2004, 05:15 PM If I had a dollar for everytime that someone said "but you look good" I would be so rich. Yes, it is more than possible. Addsions disease causes you to loose weight and tan without the sun when it is not properly controlled. You also may loose most of your body hair which is considered desireable in women. When I feel the worst it would appear that I look pretty good. Heather W whenwillitend 02-06-2004, 09:30 PM when the adrenal gland is removed will the swelling, bloating, sick stomach go away as well? |
